First Ever MI. Vaper's BBQ is in the works!

Well, I've been in touch with the Wiz and DR. Fred and we have a date and time for the first ever MI. Vaper's BBQ! It will be held on Sat, June 25th @ 4:00 pm at my place out here near Brooklyn, MI.
Wiz, Dr. Fred and I will all be manning our smokers. Dr. Fred says he can do 6 slabs of ribs in his and I believe Wizzie said he'd do a pork shoulder in his. I haven't decided what to do in mine yet so suggestions are welcome. Perhaps I should pick on some animal OTHER than the pig, ehe?
My son in law said that he may do two different brews for us. He's doing one with smoked grains but said that he may do another seasonal brew for those who don't care for the smokey variety (like me). The kid IS an artist with beer.
So, we'll have meat and beer. Anything else you want will be BYO. The party will be mainly in the yard, pole barn and woods but we have a fairly nice house with two bathrooms. There's a fire pit in the back yard and if you take the trail to the back of the property there's a clearing with another fire pit. We have 5 acres (most of it is woods) and there is some room for folks to camp. If that sounds like a plan to you just contact me first so I can make sure you have a decent space.

Mist don't get dicouraged! June is a long ways away. We may have to send some PM's to the usual suspects and go from there. I'm sure Katy would come for this one,Blake too. Might even pull in a few Mi left coasters. Winter months can be slow here at ECF! Don't forget to contact suppliers(Isaac),They are a hungry lot!

YeP, you'd take I 69 to Coldwater, MI. and take M 12 about 45 minutes east. There's a Super 8 in town that friends and relatives have said is nice if camping is not your thing.
At my retirement party we had about 90 people here (15 for breakfast the next morning) and had about 7 tents set up. This could really be a blast!

Update: My son in law is now saying that he's going to brew three different beers for the party and I think I'm going to do a large brisket in my smoker.
I have come up with a really good rub for brisket. I smoke it with pecan wood chips.

I'd like to know about Katy as well. I liked her very much and didn't get to know her as much as I would have liked.

And mark me as a maybe for the BBQ.

I'm still working intermittently and *anything* can happen between now and then. But if I have my preference I'll be there....
