If you'd like a premium, precision mechanical mod made really well, check this one out: Super T ~ PrecisePlus Units

I love mine with an good RBA or RDA or RBT (I have the 18500). It's amazing how well made it is, and has rodium contacts that will never rust, etc. :)

But everyone has a preference, unless it's truly garbage that doesn't work, one isn't necessarily better than another. And also depends how much you want to spend vs. quality, etc.

+1 for super t devices. Then again I'm not in the mechanical mod is best bandwagon I rode that one a couple years ago. I still think owning one is a smart choice but I will always want to have my hands on a variable device.

Agreed, it's my only mechanical, the rest are eGo style or VV/VW APV's. But who knows what the FDA will decide to do (we should find out their plans in April), and if they decide that models developed after 2007 won't be allowed, like CASAA suspects is a worst-case scenario, then the mechanical will last longer than the electronic VV/VW ones, and I won't be stuck w/crappy pre-2008 models. :) /removes tin-foil

They can't stop us they can just try, I don't care what they say unless they are prepared to arrest me I will be vaping. Good luck stopping us from buying replacement electronics they could be used for anything.

I will when i get the chance. But in terms of wattage, mech with a 1 ohm coil is less than 14 watts. I havent tried it yet, seriously because im scared my wrecking my brand new VAMO, but at 6 volts on a 1.4 ohm coil, thats like 27 watts...

I would love to see you get 4.2 Amps out of your VAMO.

Sorry but your VAMO will max out at 4.9v with that coil.

After trying a kamry k100 R-scope at a local vape store both kicked and un-kicked with a carto, an AGA-T and an IGO-L, I have 2 of them coming in. Very nice construction, smooth threads, sexy, comes in three colors and can accept 18350, 18500 (both kicked or not), and 18650 un-kicked.

For height comparison, I believe the three in the picture from left to right are 18500 kicked, 18500 un-kicked, and 18350.

The silver colored portion in the middle is the same size as an AGA-T and looks nice (The drip shield would not be used in that configuration).

4.9^2/1.4=17.15. I have no desire to go higher than that for fear of killing my mouth.

Again, not second guessing those who use mechs or anything, just plainly curious.

    Nothing wrong being curios. :)

I just popped a freshly charged AW IMR 18490 into my mech mod with a 0.9ohm Cobra atty on it. That's 19 watts and 4.66A of tasty yumminess going on for a while before the battery stays put at around 3.7v for a good while.
And it's not a very hot vape at all, just awesome.
I do own a Vamo and really like it for what it does, but it's not beating my mech mod by any stretch. Try one! :)

I see. Hence the term "unregulated". Im gonna get a $20 mech mod some where down the line to try this out.

If you are unsure if you will even like a mechanical I would go with either the Natural or the Legacy. The Natural doesn't have the problems the Smok Telescope had. The legacy tho is made in the USA, so if that is important to you (it is to many people) then I would suggest that route.

If you can afford it, an empire is an awesome little mechanical. The downside is it is a native 901 not a 510.

I know one person mentioned not wanting a mechanical because they wanted vapor, but depending on what you put in a mechanical you can get better performance out of one than out of a vv/vw device. Tho not everyone is into gennys.

I had one of the Sigelei Telescopes and it broke in less than a month, yes I could have found a new screw to fix it, but personally it had been the worst mechanical I had owned.

The K100 is an empire clone with 510 threads.
