Wow... Ive learned so much reading through these comments... Im waiting for the kamry (empire type)mech mod to come in stock, deciding between the natural and the legacy, and also wondering if a provari mini is worth owning to complete my collection being that im not planning on owning anything but genesis atomizers, phoenix style atomizers, and a dripper for juice sampling... Is provari very difficult as far as errors are concerned with rbas?

I have absolutely no problems with a ProV and a ZAP, even though I never bothered to upgrade my Prov from the V1........

I much prefer mechanical mods that you can adjust just by the number of coils. No problems, no grief, will probably last longer than I will...........LOL...........I love my mechanicals.......and the ProV/ZAP is my least used PV..........

The provari is one i will always own i have bought 6 of them still have 2 minis they are my favorite and will always have them.Even if you go mechanical the provari will read ohms for you, adjust to most coils you build and is always consistent. The mini is perfect size and yes they are very easy to use and understand.

But a provari does have it's limits, and will give error messages on sub 1 coils. Even with the built in safety features, you are better off using a cheap ohm meter than an almost $200 apv, and you need the meter anyways.

After trying a kamry k100 R-scope at a local vape store both kicked and un-kicked with a carto, an AGA-T and an IGO-L, I have 2 of them coming in. Very nice construction, smooth threads, sexy, comes in three colors and can accept 18350, 18500 (both kicked or not), and 18650 un-kicked.

For height comparison, I believe the three in the picture from left to right are 18500 kicked, 18500 un-kicked, and 18350.

The silver colored portion in the middle is the same size as an AGA-T and looks nice (The drip shield would not be used in that configuration).

where did you order your k100's from? everyone i have found is sold out

Agreed, it's my only mechanical, the rest are eGo style or VV/VW APV's. But who knows what the FDA will decide to do (we should find out their plans in April), and if they decide that models developed after 2007 won't be allowed, like CASAA suspects is a worst-case scenario, then the mechanical will last longer than the electronic VV/VW ones, and I won't be stuck w/crappy pre-2008 models. :) /removes tin-foil

LOL I was wondering why the sudden boost in interest in mechanical mods on this board of late.

Sort of like the stockpiling of nic juice.

Yet, yesterday somebody posted article about Blu cigs, how vaping will go mainstream, and they've already done $61 million in profits or sales forgot which.

Like I said, analysts for Lorilard and their huge battery of attorneys and bean counters didn't buy Blu for a billion if they thought vaping would be coming to an end. always always follow the (big) money.

Gotta wonder if people don't just spread rumors to boost sales of stuff........... conspiracy theory

Back to topic, I despise readouts, screens, digital displays, pushing more than one button, puff counters, the whole works. Just give me a simple mechanical mod and let me vape in peace without having to use my brain. :)

I recently purchased the vamo v2 kit from rock drummer vapor. Just got it Friday and I've been vaping it all weekend. The price and everything that came with the kit was so worth it. It's vv and vw, reads the ohms of whatever you have attached onto it, lets you know the amount of battery power you have left, and is an all around good experience so far.

Im really interested in the co op thing... im only 14 posts into my ecf life so this stuff is pretty new to me... Sure would like the opportunity to get my hands on some hard to come by gear... Is it difficult? Or better yet, even available to me?
What is the motivation for this post? If you have an expectation of high quality from some of the hard to get items, then I'd like to point out that high quality mods are easily available if you are not too picky and have the money. If you just want it (the mod, tank or other item) because it's rare, and hard to get...well, it takes all kinds.

My advice is to get verified, and watch the classifieds. If this were a car forum, it would be like watching people trading and selling Ferarri's, Bugatti's, Pagini Zonda's, Bentley's, Rolls Royce's, Lotuses and other high end cars.

I've been vaping for a few years now and I've owned many devices in that time. I work in construction for a modular homes company. I came to the end of my rope with VV devices breaking on me. I had a few higher priced items that broke so I went to cheap ego VV's..mistake there as well as they all break faster than I can replace them. It's easy for people to say their device is durable when they work an office job or sales or driving..etc etc...Give it to me for a few weeks and I bet it won't be the same. I can't put my PV down all the time and go to it when I want a vape..so I usually carry it in a pocket. When your carrying heavy things around like lumber or drywall and climbing ladders and crouching down, things that are in your pockets tend to get bashed and bent.

So i decided to go for something people say is really durable..looked into a provari and decided If I'm going to spend 225 dollars on a PV it better not have a screen or electronics in it. Went to super T manufacturing and liked what I saw there. In the meantime I grabbed up a Smoktech Natural and from the look and feel of it I think it's going to do much better at staying alive than my previous PV's. Just wanted to give a few people an idea of reasons to own a mechanical mod as I've seen people saying things like "just don't drop it" and that's easier said than done for some of us.

What do you use for a tank/RBA? Most of the tanks are just as delicate.

I get the feeling that if the worst did occur, we would see a ten dollar price hike on all mods across the board and they would come with a nifty little LED on top and be sold as 510 connection flashlights with interchangeable heads. That's what I would do anyways.
