So guy walked up to me at the train station while I was waiting to go home from work an asked my if it was working I said yes it is and I'm feeling tons better because of it. He asked me how long I had been off analogs I replied 2 months and then he congratulated me and walked off I have to admit I was fairly shocked as most people I have spoken to about vaping have been a hell of a lot negative saying the normal bs its worse for your health ect you know the idiots who have know idea what there talking about. Feeling quite proud oft achievement now and wouldn't have been able to do it with out ecigs

That's a real cool story. There's something weird in the negative psychology of some of people. It's like they want a quitter to fail. You see it with dieting, too. Instead of cheering you on, they seem to want you cave. vaping makes quitting smoking analogs easy. So, these negative people think it's a cop-out. My wife is hearing it at work.

Before the local ANTZ went on TV, calling for a ban on e-cigarettes, I can say Filipinos generally had a good opinion on vaping. My mother was happy, my officemates were happy, and my girlfriend was very delighted. I even had strangers approaching me with questions, all of them appearing optimistic stating that they would give it a try.

I had a guy at work tell me "You should be a man and just quit all together". So I stole his chew and replaced it with bubble gum. About an hour later he was looking for it everywhere (and was also chewing the gum I had left). I said "You should be a man and just quit chewing things." I gave him back his Grizzly can and he never bothered me again.

Whenever I see someone with a starter kit, I always try to be encouraging to them. When they see my rig, the typical rresponse has been 'I should have bought that'. I steer them to ECF for support and information. As for the 'raised nose crowd', I try to be polite and informative. Most have been shocked that vapor isn't smoke, amazing.

that's great!

I was in the smoking section of the Magic Kingdom the other day, and I over heard some guy telling an older woman (His mother, I think) all about my e-cigarette LOL,,,,,,,I was surprised how positive he sounded as he was explaining them to her,,,,,,,and he clearly didn't smoke, as she smoked one after the other, and he arrived and left without having a cigarette.

Most people just stare. Can't figure out what the hell I am doing.

I have gotten the just quit, talk. I tell them, "Why, this vape stuff tastes great. Right now I am vaping New York Cheese Cake, and you are breathing LA Smog." :D

Others are supportive, especially family. I am the oldest of nine cousins, and I was the only one that still smoked.

I must have been living under a rock because until a few weeks ago when I started vaping I had absolutely no clue about any of it...good, bad, or otherwise. I had avoided all the media references to e cigs. The only exposure I had was two friends who used blu types when they couldn't smoke the real deal, like in hotels. I figured it was more of a convenience thing.

interestingly over the past year or so vapor lounges have popped up all over town, and I was still clueless. Truth be told I assumed it was some sort of gateway to the drug world.

Then, just a few hours into my quit day, I spotted a vape store with a sign in front that referenced quitting smoking. I went in, the guy explained it to me, and I walked out with a starter kit and real hope that I could actually quit smoking.

So I figure that if I, being a target customer for the vaping industry, could be completely unaware and ignorant about it, I really can't expect much more of the general public.

If people are idiots, well, ya can't fix stupid.

In the country I live it is all different. My story is I decided to give it a try in February bargaining myself that I would have my morning tea and cigarettes ceremony. I used to roll cigarettes I rolled 7 cigarettes for the way to vendor and back. Bought my primitive set inhaled 3 vapes in the shop to choose. I came home with my 7 rolled cigarettes and they have never been smoked since then. My wife and son joined me. we began to vape but aunt of my wife warned her that "they said it is worse than analogs" she quit. still smoking real ones seeing my breath is very good from the days of my smoking but she cant help. I have been warned by many people in the street that it is far more dangerous than analog. I cant perssuade many of them saying there are 4000 materials in smoke of tobacco 400 of the fatal 50 of them carcinogen. there are only 3 materials in e-cig and apart from nic. they are used in large. No they prefer analog.
I had some of the people persuaded and encouraged some giving my old ones. But I think it is very hard to deal with ignorants.
