So I have posted my initial reactions in the Provape1 announcement thread in the suppliers forum, however, I wanted to add some comments here as well.
I cannot say enough about the commitment to customer service from David and the crew at Provape!!! I pre-ordered my first unit from Provape and did not know what to expect. I have used a few of the lazer
mods, the 901 and 510 PT's, and a Chamelon. I cannot say enough about the the PV1!!! While it does not have the overall HV capabilities of the Chameleon, this is a fantastic everyday unit. It vapes more like the 5v 510 PT than it does the standard 510 or 901 3.7 units, impressive because this unit is itself a 3.7v PV. I have both the 901 and 510 adapters and could not be happier with the performance of this unit.
Now coming back to customer service. As stated before I pre-ordered this unit and got one of the initial run
devices...the PV1 worked like a champ for about a week and then boom....it was constantly firing and I could not do anything to make it stop, this was not a sticking button issue just something bizarre.... I communicated with Dave and he got a new unit out straight away for me. The second unit worked like a champ again for about a week and then died after a battery change, this time nothing would happen. I communicated with Dave and true to form he offered to shoot another one out without hesistation or irritation. We talked back and forth via email and he noticed I was in Las Vegas. For those of you who know Vegas, aside from being hot, is extremely dry. Also in the spring we have some pretty heavy winds. David, with his "sherlockian" deduction skills theorized that there could be a problem with static. This is a huge problem in Vegas, in fact I had to tear out all of my carpet and replace it with wood and tile becuase you could not move two steps without shocking the hell outta yourself. David and his crew made some modifications and got my third unit out to me. I can say that this seems to have resolved the problem. I have wandered around in my best static producing slippers and this new unit is not missing a beat!!
I was hesitant in writing this issue up because I did not want to scare anyone away from the PV1 as I managed to burn through 2 of them in 2 weeks. I decided however that it would only be the only way to show the dedication that the Provape crew has for their product and customers. I cannot reccomend this
device enough for those not looking into HV mods. This unit is durable, good looking, and performs unbelievably well.
Bravo Provape and David!!!!!
Sincerely,
Swipple
