Just a quick word or two about the 2.0. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these about two weeks ago.

There are a few changes as mentioned by Dave/PRO360 I have tested the 16 sec cutoff (w/ the PV1 v1 I nearly tipped a table full of food over one night when I realized that the "uncomfortable" feeling I was having was an atty burning through my jeans) and it works great as does the thermal monitoring/cutoff.

One thing I noticed as well, although Dave will have to confirm that this is more than my imagination is that the contact pin inside the body of the unit was enlarged. In my opinion this allows for a more consistant contact surface for the + side of the battery. It is my impression that the v2 puts out a heartier draw and I think this pin may be the supporting player.

Another upgrade although not to the unit direcly is a change to the adapters. The outer brass contact ring (battery side) has been brought flush with the housing, I attribute some of the 'heartier draw" mentioned earlier to this change as well. I have added a picture but apologize in advance for the poor quality. You will note the new adapter on the left and the original on the right.

The Provape1 v2 is a fantastic unit built for with an eye on unfailing performance and great aesthetic quality. With the introduction of LR atty's and cartomizers this unit it one of the best and most well rounded units I have used, and for the record use daily. On top of a great product the folks at Provape are an absolute joy to deal with and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Just as a disclaimer I did purchase my unit and feel that for anyone looking to move beyond stock starter kits there is no better device to enter the world of battery mods. This is my .02 and will post this same review in the official review thread.

Happy vaping!!

I have really wanted to get one but i have been primarily using the kr808 and worry about the switch. Would 510 cartomizers work well on these?.....have heard something about carto's working great on 5v. Is this a 5v? (complete noob when it comes to mods!). I have also thought about the prodigy. Any experience with these? Or possibly a comparison? Sorry about all the questions!

The Provape is a 3.7 device and the Prodigy is a 5v device. You will get a stronger throat hit off a 5v than a 3.7. Other than that it is like comparing apples and oranges. Both are great units and I am sure you would be happy with either. Both will work with a 510 or KR carto, there are adapters you can get for both. The questions is: are you looking to get your first mod and are you looking to step into the arena of 5v vaping?

If you use cartos this unit works awsome with them. You will need the adaptor for 808d1 carts.
Also alot of 510 cartos don't fit the PV1.This can also be solved with adaptors.
I have the newest vesion as mentioned above. The Pro vape is awsome no mifires, switch always works.
If you've never tryed dripping,do so with this device thats all i do at home now.
