To address the Z Atty Pro comments: I've heard from several people about glued center posts on theirs. I had mine completely appart and my center post is threaded in not glued. Nor has my cap ever fallen off, and I walk around all day with it in my front shirt pocket. Possibly they have made upgrades to the Z and not made a huge noise about it? I don't know. Have people had problems... obviously yes. I just do know for a fact that the center post on mine is NOT glued. And it has been working flawlessly for 2 months now.

... The one I don't care for I may have liked if I didn't have a ProV to compare it to, but I was using it last night with my new Terminator-C and noticed the power down button is not always working, I've had the device for just over a month and have only had one battery in it, so less than 15 hrs of use and one of the buttons is already wonky. Pretty hard to recommend that to anyone, but it is one of the most popular budget devices out right now.

If it's a Vamo that has a wonky button, your PCB may have shifted. You can reseat it & lock it into place with hot glue. rnoserious has a vid that shows how to do it. (Can't give you the link to the video - YouTube is blocked here at work. School filters are locked down tight.)

PofM, I don't get it.

I have never been on the receiving end of Provari hate. Actually, I don't even understand it. Why would anyone care what I vape?? I never even knew there was a Provari "cult".

Having said that...

I own two Provaris that sit amongst other equally beautiful devices. None of them, Provari included, are the "best". They all are.

My shill wages have been reduced from $0. to $0.

I like hugging.

I have a high post count.

I am also getting a Billet Box.

So, Provari haters, bring it on. If you get too testy with me, I am going to have to whack you with my Darwin... ;)

CULT.
Not only do you guys hafta have the "best" mod there is, most of you keep a stable of "lesser" mods (just to make sure ProV beats em), AND yer always hugging each other...creepy.

Please don't kill me you guys, just sayin...

Whoa, relax!
I wasn't hating. It was late, I was bored, and this was the only thread active.
Prolly innapropriate, just playin around.
:)
Well, dude. Re-read what you originally posted. Calling a group a "cult" has negative conotations. Then calling the group "creepy" because our emoticons "hug" one another? And nowhere was there any indication on your part that you were being sarcastic in humor. Everything you said pointed to being a hater.

We don't know you; based on your comments, why wouldn't everyone react to you being a troll? It's usually appropriate when being sarcastic to include a :p in your post.

I can appreciate irony. Now I want, of all things...an eVic. Lol.
This is called the bOd telescopic body, and uses eVic internals in a stainless Greek mod.
http://www.greekvapes.eu/Joye_tech_evic_+_bOd_Set/p1666110_8772571.aspx

I know it sounds bad, especially since someone who recommended an eVic was the one who was flaming me, but I can appreciate drool-worthiness in all it's forms.

Edit: I think I'll get it, right after I get myself a Mini. :)

I find myself getting more evic hate than provari hate, ironically from the provari cult.

And since you inject yourself into a thread about something you don't have

I think a better question for #1 would have been, "if it needs to be replaced in 3-6 months, would you buy another one?"

You shouldn't be whining

Well that's not good. Do ProV owners feel threatened by it? I know I'm not worried if a new high end device becomes the go to unit. I haven't been in a lot of eVic threads but have seen a few reviews the made me sit up and take notice of it, but I still question it's longevity, and build quality. It's so new and there are so many questions about what it may be capable of in the future.

Weird, I read that original post, and didn't see any provari hating. I saw somebody mention that they preferred other mods due to the functionality of the provari being more complicated. I did see a whole lot of provari defending though. Personally, I think people asking questions should be given options. The thing that bugs me the most, is when somebody answers a new person with "I have this and this is all I use, and it's all you ever need, don't listen to anybody else". Whether that person is talking about a provari or an ego, it shouldn't matter. Everybody is going to go their own route, based on their needs and budget. Perhaps somebody may have a budget for a provari, but doesn't necessarily want to start out with the highest cost device. If somebody came up to me and said "So, I'm thinking of learning to ride a motorcycle, what do you recommend?" I'm not going to tell them they should start out with a hayabusa because they'll eventually want a super fast bike, and starting out small is just a waste of money. If you ever sit back and look at this site, you'll see that there are provari haters, but yet there are also people who worship the provari like it's the next Jesus.

I think it's just the normal culture of defending what you have and proving to everyone it's better than what they have, want or can afford.

My evic has been pretty durable, I tossed if from my stairs a few times for science and knock it over quite a bit. I am sure you break the plastic or pop the connection out if you hit it just right. I just tell everybody that in it's current form, it has the most useful screen, is the easiest to adjust volts/watts and has not rattlesnake. Basically if it's good for low to medium power vapers.

Honestly, I was going to toss a provari for science but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Don't be an .... I felt my comment was appropiate, as no one really knows how durable the eVic will prove to be in the long term. I did not attack the eVic in that thread, and I acknowledged that I did not own an eVic. If you thought that was hate, you need to re-read my original post in this thread and follow the link.
...and you should probably read the rest of my comments in the thread you quoted from.

The eVic has known flaws and shortcomings. What this will do to it's expected lifespan, we don't really know yet. I feel that the bOd mod offsets some of the durability issues.

A 200 dollar mod that has to go in the first week of use is no good. The warranty is as good as the product. I've seen some go in three times in barely a year. Suppose I had to send it back in from my hometown Buenos Aires...

There's Joyetech dealers all over the world, and a few just a couple of hours away. My eVic won't be out of warranty if anything happens, while the Provari would cost me at least 25 dollars of freight.

eGo Twists and Spinners are the veteran vaper weapon of choice. Small, inexpensive, I don't cry over them if they get lost. I've had a couple working for 7 months now. Great regulation, drives relatively small coils strong for long hours. Really, you've been vaping for what? Three months? I've been vaping since 2009. Look at my join date. You're a noob yourself!

Y'know, people recommending Reos an Provari to a beginner smells bad. I hope I'm wrong.
I suppose you just overlooked this post? "ProVari hate" is aimed at both the mod and it's owner, not just the mod.

Edit: Posts in bold were emphasized by me.

When the ProThingy arrives, unscrew the bottom cap slowly and you'll find the Kool Aid inside. The flavor depends on the color. At exactly 3 ohms past midnight (it will calculate that for you if you press the button 4 times and tell it how much you love it), drink the Kool Aid while concentrating on your favorite juice (it's okay not to have an ADV at this point, that is sure to change), and a little purple ProVape imp will appear to give you further instructions.

th

Lol...if someone who doesn't own a provari comes into a "Calling All Provari owners" thread and starts talking about it's shortcomings, perceived or real, people would throw a fit and go into a "you would know if you owned one" mode. So why is it ok when you do it?

Then you start this thread, which I am not even sure what you intended to get out of it, and called me an ... for then pointing out that you went into another thread where by all appearances you went to smack talk something you don't own. It seems a little revisionist to pretend the post I quoted isn't essentially you negging something you don't own, which is close of enough to hating on something for me.

But hey, I'm the troll. I just came in here to hate on the provari and everyone who has one.
