Well, Hubby and I ordered our Provari's last night with Vamo's as back ups.. can we get hugs now too? Or do we have to wait until they are in our hands to qualify?? :)

Personally I cant wait until i get shown the secret handshake.. I already have a secret decoder ring.. somewhere in this pocket with the lint... i think...
The ProVari's are toss in the purse and pocket and go. I really kind of consider the Vamo to be a stay at home mod because I don't turn my mods off and on every time I stick them in my pocket, so the Vamo's buttons get pushed, messing up my settings.

I guess what I'm trying to say is...You'll enjoy both. Don't be surprised if you end up putting something on top of the Vamo's too! You'll end up using both, because two mods are better than one...

Lol...if someone who doesn't own a provari comes into a "Calling All Provari owners" thread and starts talking about it's shortcomings, perceived or real, people would throw a fit and go into a "you would know if you owned one" mode. So why is it ok when you do it?

Then you start this thread, which I am not even sure what you intended to get out of it, and called me an ... for then pointing out that you went into another thread where by all appearances you went to smack talk something you don't own. It seems a little revisionist to pretend the post I quoted isn't essentially you negging something you don't own, which is close of enough to hating on something for me.

But hey, I'm the troll. I just came in here to hate on the provari and everyone who has one.

Original question from that thread:
I am thinking about purchasing and eVic and I am curious to see what the people who own them think about them. So I have a couple of questions to ask you.

1. Would you purchase it again?
2. About how long the battery last before needing a charge? ( I have to recharge my twist during the day to make it last)
3. What is the best delivery setup you use on it?
4. How's the durability of it?
5. What battery running?

Thanks ahead of time, and please keep the Provari "propaganda" to a minimum
My responses and some replies:
I think a better question for #1 would have been, "if it needs to be replaced in 3-6 months, would you buy another one?"

I don't have a horse in this race, so it was just idle curiosity on my part. The eVic comes in both aluminum and stainless, correct? I wonder if the material choice would influence the durability question at all.

Edit: Just for reference, I am a ProVari, Vamo, and eGo owner.

I would of guessed the first by the tone in your first post, however I dont think it comes in stainless ATM, but I could be wrong. I have boiled it down to the VAMO or this

I would have posted that regardless of whether I owned a ProVari or not. Don't be so thin skinned.

The top connection on a Vamo is durable and not likely to break. I have broken a Vamo, and yes, the buttons are it's weak point. The Vamo essentially has a floating circuit board, (it's not secured by milled in slots or anything, just a glued in retaining clip) if it drops and lands on the buttons, it can cause the circuit board to rotate left or right, which drops the buttons into the cavity of the Vamo. If you can't realign it from the bottom, then the top cap must be removed. Sometimes it's easy, and other times, virtually impossible. My assembler ate his Wheaties before putting mine together, so I had to write that Vamo off as a loss. Aside from the button issue, I heartily recommend a Vamo. If I'd know then what I know now, I would have been able to fix that Vamo. I did replace that Vamo with both a ProVari and another Vamo. Both Vamos were stainless steel, and I have had not any issues with the replacement Vamo.

Just finished watching the video, the price for the full kit made me choke a little, but that is very nice work, very nice indeed. I've added it to my wish list. :)

Yes it really looks like I'm trolling hard, and negging big time on the eVic. Next you'll claim that I couldn't say anything good about the Vamo either. :p

This is called the bOd telescopic body, and uses eVic internals in a stainless Greek mod.

Looks pretty cool. Kinda like a Roller mated to the eVIC.

p.s. Dude's got some hairy freakin' knuckles. 8-o

Yeah... with "new tech" like the eVIC, I'm not trying it out until Rev2. But that's just me.

Well that's not good. Do ProV owners feel threatened by it? I know I'm not worried if a new high end device becomes the go to unit. I haven't been in a lot of eVic threads but have seen a few reviews the made me sit up and take notice of it, but I still question it's longevity, and build quality. It's so new and there are so many questions about what it may be capable of in the future.

Original question from that thread:

Sure you said "I have no horse in this race" and came around after this was said to you

No I was pretty clear in what I was asking, however I dont think too many people have had one for 3-6 months yet either. It was more or less wither or not since you have had it for a while would it still have been the one you purchased. I think most who have answered the questions got what I was aiming for. But thanks. :D

Which is a nice way of saying "thank you for ignoring the title or the concept of the thread".

So what was the point of your post in the thread? I mean if just came in to tell everyone what you have heard from other people or read on here, you seem to have a reading comprehension problem. If you just came in to imply that it would break, you would be hating, negging or trolling. Just because you had a conversation after doesn't seem to eliminate that their aren't many reasons for your initial post besides those. So go quote some more stuff you said after, it doesn't change my point.

Now to the topic, Provari hate and Provari cheerleading seem to balance out. Once you get more of one, more of the other follows. Not sure how whining about provari hate fits into that equation, time will tell.

Great combination! Wise choice IMO. Did you go full size or mini on the Provari?

I suppose you just overlooked this post? "ProVari hate" is aimed at both the mod and it's owner, not just the mod.

Edit: Posts in bold were emphasized by me.

Well, I won't say I read the entire thread. TL:DR, but I read most of it. But I'm sure you all know that there probably just as many ProV worshippers as there are haters. Neither are doing this place any good.

I wouldn't go that far, but I'll agree with your general sentiment. Mods should stand or fall on their own merits, and not because of predispositions or bias.

I saw a video review of it the other day. It looks phenominal, except the carto part. Find a way to run it as a genny & I'll be even more tweaked. :D

I know there are many people who want this, Count. I would venture a guess that that will prolly show up in a future version. Count on it... ;)

When the ProThingy arrives, unscrew the bottom cap slowly and you'll find the Kool Aid inside. The flavor depends on the color. At exactly 3 ohms past midnight (it will calculate that for you if you press the button 4 times and tell it how much you love it), drink the Kool Aid while concentrating on your favorite juice (it's okay not to have an ADV at this point, that is sure to change), and a little purple ProVape imp will appear to give you further instructions.

Dayummmm! I got my Provari but never saw the Kool Aid. I will stay up tonite til 3 ohms after midnite to see if the purple imp shows up with instructions.

{{{Hugs to the purplest of imps}}}

I bought my first e-cig from a Smoke Free vendor and the single little pink stick battery and charger cost me over $100. After I bought it I started researching and found this site and bought KGO kits which I've loved and bought another kit so I have 4 KGO batteries, then a decorative little ego battery and an ego twist which broke within a month's time...I've LOVED my KGO's but am happy to say that now that I have a Provari the shopping is DONE (except for maybe a purple mini pro, more batteries, an extender cap and more vivi novas)...all in all I've probably spent around $800+ but NOW.......I wish I'd started with my provari and if someone states startup cost isn't a concern why NOT go ahead and steer them in the direction of a Provari?!?

I dont have one, but do plan on buying one soon, however I know why people do say stuff to you "Provari Propagandist" is that no matter what the question is there is someone who will be like just get a Pro and be done. Which could be an eventual correct answer but if the person is asking for a entry level (cheap) mod to cut their teeth with, then a ProVari is not the right answer bc of how much it costs.

I mean no offense and plan on joining you but the answer to everyones problem is get a ProVari.

Any statements I made or make in other sections isnt in hate merely in jealous envy ( As is most peoples too, I think )

I agree with you (which was actually the point of another thread that dissolved into bloodshed). I love mine, but it's not the best fit for everyone or perhaps not at that moment. I am annoyed when a member doesn't read the original post and wanders onto the thread raving about getting a ProVari, which is irrelevant. I think that is where a lot the hate comes from.

This gets to my false economy statement, why buy a cheap mod to start with if the goal is to get a high quality mod in the future? It is no harder to use a high end device than it is to use the budget mod. If I had known what I know now a bit over a year ago I would not have wasted ~$150 on perceived bargain mods, why is it not appropriate to share that knowledge?
