Thanks for the help. I think I will get:
- 1 x Vision Spinner 2
- 1 x Kanger Aerotank v2 (regular size)
- 4 x Kanger Replacement Dual Coil
- 1 x joyetech eGo rapid USB charger

While the MVP has a huge battery, it's bulky and I don't think I'd want to carry it around with me.

The iTaste VV v3.0 is a great size but only at only 800mAh, I feel it wouldn't last me the day.

A sensible choice IMHO. If the shiny new toy bug bites later on, and it will do, then so be it! Welcome to the forum.

not a bad start, get an MVP too, and call it a day.

Depends on your flavor profile though, if you're into strawberries and cream it's a good start.

I have been using Honeydew and love it - had also bought some Wintergreen and a couple others..... FOR ME - the WINTERGREEN is awesome !!!!
light but very flavorful - the 2 other folks I have now turned on to vaping - are still smoking a few cigs and I think - its because they are Vaping with the flavors they found that taste most like their cigs - for me - I don't even like the smell of a cig anymore.... and it only took 2-3 days before that smell was disgusting.

I'm currently using a vision spinner battery (v1) with an iclear 16 head. How does the kanger aerotank compare to the iclear 16?

:2c:

of course two different types Top Coil & Bottom Coil
my experience aero beats iclear 16/30

I, just don't care for the i16 or the i30 performance

they just don't compare to the kangers, IMO

now I like the vivi nova 'top coils' just not i16/i30

my preference is the single coil kangers (bcc)

- Kanger T3S, MT3S
- Kanger Protank II, EVOD, Unitank

I would recommend against the AeroTanks for one reason. The airflow valve bottom cap is press-fit together. If you knock it (not even hard), or even naturally after some time of use, it may come apart. Once it does, you will not be able to reassemble it. Try as you might, even with a vice, it is not going to be pressed back together. I went through 3 AeroTanks in 3 months. Each time this bottom cap came apart. The first time I dropped it. The second time I ever so slightly set it down on my table, and the third time it just came apart as I was vaping, possibly due to heat or natural wear. These are poorly made tanks.

About 6 months ago I gave up on AeroTanks and looked around for a replacement. I am still using it in one of my mods today and I think it is the best air-flow controlled tank I have used - a Nautilus Aspire. Much better build quality and thought went into its production. I particularly like how the top assembly screws onto threads on the inside of the glass, making it much more stable. Also the airflow valve is much superior to that of the AeroTank - it's impossible to tighten it too much (a common problem I had with the AeroTank when detaching the tank). The valve has 4 settings with a simple twist that gives a nice 'click' sound.

I am a newbie to these forums, so my idea of a good tank is probably not the best, but the Nautilus Aspire is *far* better than the Kanger AeroTank in my opinion. Hope this post is useful to someone considering purchasing one. Wouldn't want anybody to waste so much money on 3 tanks in such a short period of time like myself, for no other reason other than poor craftsmanship.

sorry to hear of your bad luck with the tanks

I have two in front of me now and tho Not babied get workout duty
they work just fine with no troubles as of yet
acquired them from daughter who gave up on dual coils after a couple months

as far as quality, they stand up to all other tanks I see, use, buy...

good luck, hope your new tanks last & treat you well

I smoke roughly 10 Malboro Lights per day and I'm keen to clear out my lungs and start running again - so I have decided to give 'vaping' a try.

I have been reading through the forums and I think that I want the following bits of kit:
- Kanger AeroTank clearomiser
- Vision Spinner 2 battery
- Joyetech eGo rapid USB charger

Other that e-liquid, do I need anything else?

I have no idea what type of e-liquid to go for. Is starting with a 'Tobacco' flavour a good idea?

I have the same setup. I also have a Aerotank giant clearomizer. The giant tank is actually shorter than the regular aerotank v2 (which I like), but it is wider in width.

Your selected kit is a good one and I used the same one for several months. I mostly vape NETs (ex cigar smoker) and found that I was replacing the coils about every two days (cleaning never really worked for me). I'm now using a Sigelei 20W with a Kayfun Lite v2 and building and rewicking. While the convenience of the first rig was really nice, the comparison in vape quality and taste is not that close. I'm sure it's not for everyone but it's where many of us end up. Try Diane at MyVapeJuice for some awesome tobacco juices. My favorite right now (get ready, tastes change as you go) is her Perdomo #23 with "just a tad" of menthol and her Ashton pipe tobacco.Welcome to vaping, what a great alternative to smoking.

I have 2 of each Kanger Aerotank with Airflow Control and Vision Spinner 2 Battery 1600mAh.

This Aerotank in my humble opinion is the better of the ones I have checked out because of its dial airflow. I like my airflow wide open, so I spin it wide open and just a hair tighter, and never have to worry about it.

The Spinner batteries is VV and 1600mah, which means you can vape on it and be sure to get most of the day out of it.
In my opinion, this is a great starter set up as with the Aerotanks their coils fit many o the other Kanger tanks including the Mega's(for when you upgrade)
You may also want to pick up a cheap RDA, like an A7 or something along that line, for when you go in to your local B&M store, so you can sample liquids before buying them.

The Aerotank comes with eGo Cone - Chrome (no flair) , which some do not have, These are handy as not only do they make the set look complete, but if you only tighten the tank on until it works with the battery, you can tighten the cone up to it, and not only save your pin on the inside, but support your threads on the battery. That is what I use my cones for, and I drop these daily, almost to the point I begin to believe I am doing It for practice or something.

Just my 2 cents.

And they look so dang good together!! Not to mention the flavor and visible fog, which I find reassuring compared to others I have tried. I hate having a mod and liquid that does not give you plumage, makes you wonder what your getting out of it.
