....waffle...you'll have to give me sec to recover from my laughing fit

I've heard of sleeper builds but never knew what they were, that's pretty ingenious though, and it looks like something I can do. Thanks for mentioning it! I'll give it a shot next time I rebuild.

Very similar to my Odin builds. I gave straight 26g another shot recently but twisted has spoiled me. Dunno what it is, but the flavor goes pop. I run my Odins .4ish as well usually with twisted 29g or twisted 30g depending on the mood. Wonderful vape :)

Here's my theory on this...

Heat flux is a measure of radiant heat in mW/mm^2. Twisted coils produce more heat flux (i.e., radiate more heat) than lower gauge single strand coils of equal resistance (or, at least, so says steam engine).

This means your twisted 29/30g radiates more heat than your single 26g setup, if the resistances were the same. I think this might account for the flavour boost.

He's building a Sleeper = spaced coils but in a continuous configuration..I think maybe that is where the confusion came from.

Ahhh, I see what you mean now, I was scratching my head at first lol. That makes sense, rip was basically using the sleeper configuration but with his own little twist with the micro-ish coils.

I've rebuilt all my atties with twisted setups recently, and I'm loving it. Compared to regular micro coils, the flavor and vapor are just more dense and in your face, not to mention it's also a warmer vape, which I usually prefer.

Not hard to see if you fire your twisted flavor coil and look at it with magnification. The juice bubbles up between the coils..a lot!

I build with a jewelers visor..my eyes are that bad.

I've been using a packing peanut. Hey, it works!

Hmmm...very interesting. Now I'll have a use for at least a few of those dastardly packing peanuts TPR is so generous with. I cringe every time I open Vapemail from them, Packing Peanuts and Glitter...I'm pretty sure they are going to Hades for it.

Sweet - that's cool!

I use a beadalon spool tamer. Got 3 of em on Amazon for like 2 or 3 bucks. They're wicked cool because I can slip twisted wire through them and tension microcoils with twisted wire.

Thanks, I'm going to check it out. I've just recently started to learn tensioned microcoils, so this tip is very timely for me!

They're great in general for keeping the wire in place, but if you like twisted wire (I know you do), they're perfect. I may make a tutorial vid soon showing how I do it - just for fun since there's nothing out there on it. (if I do that, it will be ridiculous more so than informative but hey, that's how I roll)

The trick is to get a long strand of twisted wire, reel it onto the spool, put it through the beadalon spool tamer and you just rock out from there. Having a long strand is good to make sure it doesn't pop out. If you run duals like I do, you'll end up with perfect dual tensioned twisted coils, 'cause I get both my coils from the same strand of twisted wire.

Rambling now...sorry...love me some twisted tensioned coils :)

Thank you! I was just going to ask how you do it. And sure, a video would be awesome.

I'll do one early next week. Be prepared for it to be ridiculous though, um, particularly if you've never seen any of my vids...might take you off guard...LOL

Ridiculous it will be but I'll also show how I do it. Never done a tutorial, will be fun :)

Yep, just thread the wire through one of them and wedge it in there. As you need more wire, just slide the peanut down with your thumb. And yep they're going to the hot place for all those little stars and confetti, for sure.

I concur...just subbed his Channel in preparation of the review. :D

Where are you in Mass, sis? I've spent quite a bit of time in Holliston and Boston (Jamaica Plain mostly), I hiked through the Berkshires on the AT, and I've been to North Hampton (spelling?) - which was a hip town I must say.
