Entered my first vape comp today woooo. There was an event on at my local vape shop today with, BBQ, coil workshop, juice tastings, giveaways blah blah blah. And a vape comp of course. Arrived late and just in time to enter. Earlier that day my 13 Heavens 9 Hells atty had arrived from focalecig. Been waiting about a month for it so pleased to finally have it. Chucked some dual claptons in it at 0.26 about an hour before the comp. I entered the comp with my TFV4 on a sigelei 150TC to begin with and won the first few rounds with that. Then decided to take a gamble and enter my 13 Heavens rda. Literately tested it for the first time as my name was been called. So had no time to practice or play with airflow or puff time or anything. Paid off pretty well though. Came second. It was neck and neck. We had to go it again because the judges couldn't decide the first time. I feel i would have won it if i had time to play with my RDA more and tweak it before hand. Was very rushed because i was late.

the other guy was running a triple parallel on dark horse with an ipv4 at 80 watts. can't remember the resistance. i was running mine at 110 watts. Really pleased with the 13 Heavens by the way. None of my other attys have such big post holes and great build decks which has limited my building options. especially since im quite average coil builder as you will see in my photo's. I like the airflow a lot. it's not to wide for me at it's widest and the flavors relatively good when it's closed right down.

Bookmarked the 13 Heavens RDA for a possible future purchase! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
cool man. Yea it's great. comes with a couple of chuff caps to if your into that. Only complaint is the base comes out to easy, and the airflow sleeve turns the top cap with it a bit. Overall it's a little bit finicky. I wouldn't use it out the house much. But i still like it

nice work! I've heard nothing but great things about the 13 heavens and the twisted messes attys, those are the only two drippers left i plan to own. might be worth playing with some fused claptons in it for the next comp? ;)

Yea man i would be pretty keen to try them out. Have you used them yourself?, is there much difference performance wise?.

I tried my first parallel build yesterday put a triple parallel 24 gauge 2.5 in my 13 heavens, came out at 0.23. Pretty tidy for my first parallel was a very tight fit Is pretty much touching the sleeve. However it was pretty disappointing to be honest, Giving me dry hits from my first puff. Im not sure the problem if it's the position of the coil or the wicking or simply it uses a lot of juice at once. Im a very novice coil builder just started using RDAs again after a long break so going to be doing a lot more building. Any advice on my parallel coil would be good i know the pictures not very clear. Oh and here's a video and a picture from the comp to, Nothing impressive. That's all my girlfriend took sorry.

I just got the Velocity yesterday and slapped this build on it this morning. Lovin it so far. It makes some serious fog at 80W. Airflow options go from coffee straw to un-restricted breathing. Post holes will hold 3 pieces of 24G easily.

nice, Hans! I was wondering how it would takevto verticals. I have verticals in my Aris Pro, but its not a cloud machine.

It takes them well. I think the extra air space from only having one tail per wick might be muting the flavor a lil bit though. I've got some SS mesh laying around. Thinking next time it needs wicks I might give that a try. Genesis dripper?
Lol, yes, genesis dripper. Take a look at Fakirs mods Troy v2. :)

Nice. Never saw an atty with a dedicated hybrid connection like that before.
Yup. And somewhere on the site is a photo of it built with vertical coils and wicked SS mesh. I want one. Bad :) And they're on sale this week, bundled with the mod. If I just had a spare $150... Lol.

I've built on both of them for friends and both are great for building decks! I tried out the twisted messes atty and it hit great. I typically prefer standard tips, so I think I would prefer the 13 heavens over the twisted messes. Otherwise they should be very similar.

That much metal in your coil is going to use a lot of juice, and not efficiently with the 24 ga. I would suggest a dual parallel setup with just two wires in each coil using 24, or parallel with different wire gauges, like a 24/28 or 26/28/28. The thinner wires hear up quicker and cool off quicker, so your juice will vaporize a bit more efficiently, and you shouldn't have any dry hits until the juice well is empty.

Here's a super simple cloud blowing setup! Little thing is a monster!

Right. I tend to buy lower-end gear. I know you get what you pay for, but I know myself and I'd be (upset) if I dropped a $200 rig and scratched it up. If I bust up a $20 mech I can keep it for spare parts and buy another one. Lol!
Me too. I do have some better quality stuff, but I tend to buy it used on the classies, and wait for a good deal.
