I have an 18650 version I started with.
Regardless the fistpack style mod was being done long before the DNA and my mod. I had not seen them when I designed mine, so it's fair to say Zen might not have seen mine or the original fistpacks either.
In Zen's interview with pbusardo he thought the price would be around $250 or less (IIRC). Which seems ok if it is well built.
If Zen posted I would have said, look at that big ole battery I bet it weighs a ton your mod is far more superior because it not as heavy. Joking-- they both are awesome not because of the purdy but because of the heart inside em the dna20..
Really good work Bapgood, thank you and Mamu and a few others to inspire me to build my own dna20 mod, just waiting for a few more parts and I will have mine.

Hey bap, and others...this thread is really making me want to try something similar...anyone know what a good 26650 batt would be for this? (Brand/model)

Mamu had bad luck with the MNKE 26650's but had good luck and really liked the MOLI IMR-26700A. I tried both and liked and had good luck with both, obviously had better luck with the MNKE's than her. IIRC the MOLI IMR-26700A are actually quite a bit cheaper, Mamu got hers off ebay from china, and I got mine off ebay from a seller in California I believe.
update for you, bap, on the MOLI IMR-26700A batt.
Both I bought cut out at 3.52v. No glitches or hang-ups from full voltage to cut off voltage vaping at 15 watts. woohoo!!
They're 5mm longer (70mm vs 65mm) than the MNKE batts, same width (26mm), and fit aok in Sam...
Ok. I'm going to need you hurry and make these so I can buy one. Take my money!!!
I agree.... what ever happened to this design. I like this box a lot!!!! Did these ever go live anywhere or something similar (18650)
