You honestly are not familiar with the hcigar magic box then?
No. I have the hcigar DNA75 Nano, among 15 or 20 other types of mods. Totally different animal, but battery sleds and contacts are pretty similar in my experience. If you have to file contacts to fit a battery either the battery is slightly longer or the mod needs vendor attention.
There are slight differences in length among both unprotected and protected 18650 batteries. Even unprotected 18650's can vary by a fraction of a mm, which is why there are spring loaded contacts in devices. Link below compares them by brand and type. Shorter ones are unprotected. Longer ones in the list are protected cells.
This is an older link, but it includes length and width measurements for 18650 common battery types. They do vary, so if I were you I'd contact the seller and see if they can recommend a specific battery or swap it out for another mod. Sometimes you get a mod that has a defect. If it were mine I'd be wanting the seller to replace it or make it fit commonly used cells.
