In a van ............down by the river
$25 - $40 for a quality chinese SS rba isn't nearly as bad as $150-$200 for the greek made originals...

$14 for an AGA-T2 with a pyrex tube.

There's an active co-op running right now.

I ordered a T3 a few days ago, just to check it out.
I should get it in the next day or two.

I'll report back and give a proper review.

I'm rotating like 6 Ce4 long wicks now.
Easy to rinse out when they get funky, but they are the "disposable" models and they ALL still work, after a month.

Watched your videos Dave...nice work.

I'm a tinkerer too.

Ok, dig this...

Yesterday, I found out that one of my local vape shops keeps 32ga Kanthal wire in the back that they'll sell by the foot if you happen to ask. After that and a quick trip to Lowe's for a #4-40 machine screw, I resurrected my T3 heads for under 5 bucks and I still have material to spare w/no wait for shipping. Gotta love it!

So, folks... if you're thinking of trying rebuilding for the first time, ask at your local shops to see if they have an unadvertised Kanthal stash so that you can get just enough to experiment (it's also great for an emergency when your last head craps-out). With Dave's ingenious method and helpful videos, it's really easy... and CHEAP!

Thanks, Dave!! :thumb:

okay. ive found something very helpful. if any of you are familiar with the standard "top wicking" clearomizers, like ce4s and ce5s, or iclear 30/16, leaking can occur when there is too much liquid in your tank and it wicks too much in there, or when you tip it too much it goes down your post, flooding your unit.

with bottom coil tanks like the t3, before you take it apart to dry it out, try tipping your tank at a downward angle while inhaling it, vertically downward like how it would be if you were filling it. this will prohibit any more liquid from getting down on your wicks, and youll only be vaping the excess fluid that is on your wicks already, solving the flooding problem. youre just vaping away the fluid that is causing the flooding in the first place.

to know if you have fluid down your center post or not will be obvious. if you get any fluid in your mouth by doing this (yes, i know its awful to get a mouthful of fluid) you have some down there. this remains true because if there is any fluid in there, gravity as well as the airflow will force it out of your mouthpiece, and into your mouth... yuck.

if you get fluid in your mouth youll know that something needs to be done furthermore than the first step. unscrew your coils, and take a q tip. kind of fluff it up by pulling on the end and elongate it a little because sometimes the q tip is too wide to get down in your center airflow post. not only this but it will absorb more liquid. also make sure your rubber grommet that rests over your coils is secure, wipe it down if you have to.

wipe the whole coil unit down, screw it back on tight, and blow through it to see if you have any more gurgling or flooding. should be fixed!

sometimes flooding can also occur when vapor gets caught in your post and condensates to liquid again once it cools. to ensure this doesnt happen, let go of your button for a few seconds after finishing your drag while still inhaling. this will clear out any vapor that gets caught in there and therefore not allowing anything to condensate.

hope this helped!

I just got my T3S 5 pack in the mail yesterday with a 5 pack of replacement heads so I don't think I'll be needing this anytime soon, but thank you for your idea, I will be sure to use it.

Has anyone heard of ekowool? I saw a video of a guy using 2mm ekowool and 32g kanthal and he said the flavor is way better than silica.

On a side note, something weird just happened to my T3S. I was vaping as normal with vape monkey's monkey cream. Flavor was good can't complain, but all of a sudden something just made a "popping" sound in there and now the flavor is about twice as more prominent!?! It now tastes like I have a mouthful of butterscotch candy.. I wish all my tanks would go through this "popping" phase.. Haha
