Well I have ordered a Volt pack kit-Ice Menthol(1 bat,usb charger and 2 cartomizers) and their smooth sampler pack(5 cartomizers).
After reading a bit on here I've decided to go ahead and go bigger.I've got it narrowed down to Volt x2 or eGo.
I've read a lot of people on here recomend eGo but have not seen much about Volt's bigger x2 batteries and clearomizers or the x2 t3's. Anybody use the volt stuff? Can someone give me some comparisons between the two or if this has been covered point me to some threads?

THANKS!:)

Most people don't use the eGo-T or -C atomizer/cartridge setup. If I'm not mistaken, that is what Colworth is referring to.

But you don't have to use the -T or -C gear, you have the whole world of 510 accessories available (with so many options it'll make your head spin).

The only problem I personally have with the X2 is the 808 threading. 510 is essentially the industry standard. You can buy adapters to convert between 808 & 510, but IMO just going the 510 route would be better.

If your going to get an eGo style battery, you should look at the joyetech/Ovale Twist and the Vision Spinner. Both will cost less than $25, have variable voltage and work great.

I personally like clearomizers over cartomizers, but to each their own. If you get a few of each you can find which one you like best. Vivi Nova Mini, Kanger T2/T3s, and Vision "stardusts"/CE5s are all widely used clearomizers. I'm not a huge fan of cartos, so I've only tried Boges (which seem to have hit or miss quality control at times).

I'm using the X2 900mAh with an X2 clearomizer to match. So far I love it. I'm getting the sneaky suspicion that the clearo will leak through the wick area and out the tip if upside down, but I haven't confirmed it yet. I'll have to test it sometime. It uses BOTH eGo threads and 808. This guy goes through and explains it very well

I have only used SI products for my 5 months of vaping. I have had zero problems with both the Volts and the X2 batteries. (well, except for the X2 that I rested in my full cup of coffee, but that's another story.) Their cartos are the best I've tried and the X2 clearo (I think the same as the stardust) is fool proof. I have not tried their T3 and I have mixed feeling for the CE3 and the Nano.

See how X2 (808 is smaller size at top, eGo is large diameter threads) is male and 510 is is female?

I started with SI and love the Volt X2 either with X2 clearomizer or the T3. It is where I intend to stay.

I have been considering a variable volt but did not want to buy a whole new set up especially since I am so happy with SI, but now SI is releasing a vv this weak and will be able to try that now too.

Also I have to say that SI has the A+ customer service.

I agree on all points. The egos are so cost friendly especially when it comes to VV. I personally prefer carto style tanks over clearomizers but those are details best left to experience.

Close but no cigar. That is their own 808 system. eGos only use 510. They are very similar looking but completely different in actuality.

See how much of a difference in depth to the positive pin is between the 808 & the true eGo 510?

i started on the 808d egos from jacvapour, then moved onto an ego twist with a 510. like someone said there`s a whole lot more stuff to play around with with a 510 connection. just got an ego v6 and gotta say i think it blows the twist out the water, theres just more oomph about it. the twist is good for dialing in a specific voltage but the v6 for me seems a more powerful device. looks beautiful too, also cheap as hell, picked one up for £27 with 4 18350 bats (i think they are) a charger and 2 v6 clearomisers and 10ml of juice thrownin too!
