The Black XL listed as a CE-2 X (3.0-3.2) is what I ordered, and it appears to be identical to the standard rev4's. I cut the first one open (for modding), and sure enough it has the dual thin looped wicks in it.

The Black CE-2 X is supposed to be the same style as the new clearomizers, correct? I'm not sure if I should open any more in the box or not. I know another well known site was getting mixed shipments, where some boxes had some of the new version, and some of the rev4 in the same box (for non-clearos).

Has anyone received Black CE-2's in the new style?

I'm kind of disappointed, considering I paid more than another site sells rev 4's for, specifically to try the new version.

Should I cut more of them, to see if the whole box is rev4?

/Just to note, I double checked the receipt, and it definitely states that it should be a CE2-X, and the post here seems to list the black ones in with the clearos, as being the new style.

//EDIT: I checked the PRD and EXP codes on the side, and they're identical to rev4's, from another non-fluxomizer branded company, if that matters.

did they have a white mouth peace,if so then when did you order these, i will look into it, but check the mp since all of ours have black ones now, if it has a black mouth peace then please show us some pictures so i can show the factory, so far i checked many and all have fat wicks in the black

Here's a pic of one that's uncut, so you can see how it came.

Sorry for the picture quality, I'm using my phone. The date and invoice number should be visible if you click on the picture and look at the original size. I can take a pic next to a steel one, to show that they're the same size as well, if you like. Just let me know if you need a certain pic, and I'll upload it.

Edit: Here's the full size link: http://www.smugmug.com/photos/1242619828_7nvdt-X3.jpg

ok I WILL CONTACT the factory and see what is going on, i just open 4 packs worth and didnt find any old wicks so i have no idea if its a widespread issue or not but will look into it and get back to you.

Thanks very much. My email address is attached to my ecigforums account, and it's the same as the one associated with that invoice number, so if you could contact me either way, that would save some time.

The worst case scenario is that I keep these as spares, because I can use them in my MAP tank anyways. I just wanted to make sure that if I order again, I'll get the new style, and that others won't run into the same issue. If you want, shoot me an email, so I can place a new order for a box that you've hand checked, and write my name on it, or some such method.

Tomorrow is a hectic day, but I'll place the order on Friday, if I can't get to it tomorrow.

Thank you for your help!

I would guess RS is purging their old inventory. Can't do it in the clearos, it would be noticed to easily. What better way than to hid it in the black and SS CE2?!??!

In any case, I'm not loving the new clear tubes. Even after filing a drip tip down they don't fit easily resulting in too much pressure and eventual cracks. And if you take one apart and try to replace the tube, good luck getting a new tube on all the way. I haven't been able to get one very much past the o'ring. I suppose as long as it's not leaking it's fine, but I don't think the added rigidity is any better than the older model.

Glad they are workign well for you...I have had the same experience with my own stash. The only thing I do is lift the filler ring up slightly where the wicks enter the cup.

Got the latest Fluxomizers, loaded one up w/50/50 Cinnamon Mist, throwed it on a Riva. Night and day difference tween this and earlier versions. This is Fat Wick, thicker tube. No wicking issures, so far, no cracking issues. This version mght be a keeper. JMHO

Cheers,

Well it appears some just slipped in, not that many...we ordered quite a few and those are the only ones we are hearing back on but even so we have made them aware pose haste.

I think GotVapes may have fared pretty well here. I've seen multiple reports from people that bought from other suppliers. And I hope you didn't take any of my comments as a dig at you guys...not your fault in the least. I don't even really blame RS for the clearo tubes. It's a tough one...I'm not sure how to solve it...too thin and they crack...too thick and they're more difficult to work with and still crack. Personally, I'd prefer them a little thinner and easier to work with if the thicker one's are going to crack anyway.

Yeah.. I got the same situation with 2 of mine. NOT from over-torquing. I woke up one morning, and noticed juice leaking, so I quickly washed and inspected them. The cracks were at the base, and I hold them on the base to put them on. I store them upright and that's where the juice collects. Luckily I had ordered some replacement tubes from another vendor. I replaced the tubes and they've been holding up for the last 2 days with at least one washing/cleaning session for both of them.

The first time I saw juice leaking from the base, I wasn't very happy....until I realized that when I had just taken the ce2 apart to clean the day before, I had replaced the tube with the 'drip tip' side on the base without realizing that side already had tiny cracks from the stress of the drip tip I was using. So I carefully drained my juice....took ce2 apart...flipped the tube and good to go! Now I inspect each tube after cleaning, to make sure the side with any slight stress cracks are not used as the base. It's a great way to get a few extra days out of the tube too!

There are plenty of videos out there... the very condensed version is: pull the plugs out, wiggle the tube off the base, wash/soak, pat dry then air dry, dry burn, rinse the ash off the coil and dry again, reassemble.

Clearos Rock. It's SO much easier to clean with the tube off. Can see the coil and the new wicks rinse clean. All back together and it's working like new. Clear tubes or not, removing the tube is a big plus to increasing the life on your carto...

To be clear my G-Bear juice in the clearo was BLACK. But I think I tried some stevia which may have caused the turning. After the cleaning the juice browns slightly, but more of a weak tea brown than TAR brown. :p

I love the gummy bears but ended up moving it to a old atty to use.
It's definitely the juice caramelizing and turns a really, really dark brown...

On day 4 of my clearo's and I noticed some really small cracks around the base but nothing really bad. I actually didn't notice them at first and hard to look hard to even see them.
Still love them and will get more , wick my 100% VG well and the taste on these are excellent : D

I noticed a hairline crack in the base of my 510 XL Clearomizer, and it was leaking . The leak was minimal but it was still a leak. Believe it or not I wrapped a small piece of clear wrapping tape around it and it has stopped leaking. I've used it for going on 3 days with the tape on it and still it's holding up. I'm going to use it until it dies.

Is there a way for the factory to make the tubes out of the same material as the bottles that FA uses for flavoring? I'm talking about the type of bottle that's hard use for dripping because it's so stiff. It would seem to me that those would not have the same chemical reaction to certain flavors. I would love either that, or just make the black ones the same as the clearos, to where you can take the tube off.
