I debated with myself whether to post this in the Flash thread, or to start one of its own. Since this thread has been sort of a mix of various atomizers, and this is probably more relevant in this thread then some of the others I decided to post it here. Sorry if this is off topic to some of you.
The Horizon Clone by Shenray was in my mailbox this morning, first impressions, it is well made, good machining. 4x3mm airflow ports, center hole is probably 5mm. Glass tanks nicely protected, included hardware for nano tank 3ml, or full length 6ml glass, 8ml with included steel tank, PEEK insulators.
Variety of wick options with screws to close off unused
juice ports. Cleaned it up as usual, had a huge metal shaving that would definitely have caused a short. Not bad for machine oil, smelled just a trace of it, quick hot water/dish soap scrub.
Very easy to build on, positive/negative post set up is very "Kayfun like", the rest of the system is pretty much like the Flash. I think the central airflow contributes to better flavor, as does the smaller chamber offered by the 22mm size.
Airflow is quite open, they include 3 solid grub screws, and a fourth center drilled to 1mm, so while it isn't continuously adjustable it does offer a fair range of options. As big as the airflow is, I'm not sure
juice flow will keep up, the juice holes are fairly small. @ 2mm, it seems to be keeping up OK @25 watts with a 1.2 ohm 3mm coil, but if you take it past this you may have to open up some more of the holes, or make two of them larger. My opinion is these should have been 3mm, but it wouldn't be difficult to make them bigger.
For me flavor is much better then the FEV3, I also like the size of it, 22mm to match a wider range of mods. Height is not bad with large tank, quite nice with the smaller tank. Pretty much most of the things I didn't like about the FEV3 have been addressed.
If you like the Flash, you'll probably enjoy this one.
