So i purchased a 100%VG pre mixed 25mg liquid and about 12 flavors.

About how many drops flavor per 5ml Base(VG/Nic) Do you guys add to give you a good, tasty flavor? Im completely new to DIY and very excited to try it. However before touching any of it im doing a bunch of reading and trying to get some good input. Bought my first rba and did the same and you guys diddnt let me down there either! Thanks everyone!

Question: How many drop flavor per 5ml base.

Ill also be adding about 5% distilled water to loosen up the VG its pretty damn thick!

A couple of things:
1. I usually use syringes for flavors because different droppers have different amounts of drops per ml.
2. If you tell us what company the flavors are made by and even better the flavors too, we can better help you. Some companies flavors are more concentrated than others and some flavors in the same company also vary widely.

Cheers,
Steve

I mainly use flavors from TFA. If I don't know a good starting percentage, I usually start at 5%. If you have a way to figure out how many drops per ml your dropper is, I would try adding 5% flavor to the 5ml test batch (.25m of flavor) then taste and adjust if needed. A lot of people go by 20 drops per ml, but I have different size droppers and depending on which one I'm using, that could be close or very far off.

Hopefully someone will chime in who has used these flavors before. Wish I could be of more help. Good luck with your DIY :toast:

Edit I'll add if your dropper is 20 drops per ml - 5% of 5ml would be 5 drops

Cheers,
Steve

In all honesty the answer is, "As many as it takes." No more and no less.

If you keep notes, you can do it again. If you don't, they will all be unique.

Hoosier.... You wouldnt happen to be a part of or own hoosier e-cigs would you?

Steve, im gonna give 5% a go tonight! Make it a couples thing, me and her are gonna sit down together an invent some flavors! Thanks guys ill just play with it.

Nope, not part of Hoosier Vapes either. I am president of the Hoosier Vapers Club and the whole club fully supports all vendors with Hoosier in their name and all vendors located in the state of Indiana. So if you buy from a small vendor like Big Willy's or a bigger one like Vapor Bank or Hoosier Vapes, the Hoosier Vapers Club thanks you for supporting the great vendors of Indiana.

We also support THR, political awareness of vaping issues, help B&M's promote vape meets and grand openings, and occasionally host a vape meet ourselves. Any vendors that want to send samples for our monthly gatherings or a vape meet coming soon after the thaw can contact myself, or our social media manager zipthehuh, or the vice president trepalium. Everyone is welcome to attend our monthly gathering on the third Saturday of each month in Beech Grove at the Silver Bullet from 4-8pm. (It's common to see some vape video/broadcast celebrities there, and Big Willy himself often attends, plus the Orange County Vapor folks show up from time to time. So there's plenty of folks to talk to if you've had enough of Hoosier talking about mixing juice.)

Now that I've done my presidential duties, I return all ECF'ers to their thread already in progress.

The flavors are from VapePlay.com I also got the VG pre mixed from there. I tasted a drop of one of the flavors and it was definately bursting with flavor lol.

A word of advice. Do not try testing your DIY flavors until your tongue recovers from that tasting. I did that one night and I couldn't truly taste that flavor (and some others) until late in the afternoon the next day. The flavorings are so concentrated that they overpower your taste buds. I think they actually shut down for a while.

The fly by the seat of your pants answer is as little as possible and work up. If starting with drops use 5ml of base with 1 -2 drops of flavor. Heat in microwave oven for NO MORE THEN 5 SECONDS to thin it enough to shake the heck out of it. If the flavors to weak add another drop and repeat.

To do it right you should get used to measuring by ML's and percentages and do some reading.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.
