I've contacted Christian at Johnson Creek about possibly making available a flavorless VG based nicquid with known nicotine amounts (24, 18 or 11mg).

I would like this so that I could experiment with my own flavorings and still assure myself that I have a known level of nicotine in my nicquid.

Would you guys support (buy) a flavorless VG nicquid from JCSJ if it was available? Vote in the poll above and thanks!

I'd be interested in flavourless but only with high nic content, I would dilute it with flavourings and glycerine or propylene glycol myself anyway.

That's what I meant, Kate. I'd want at least 24mg flavorless VG smoke juice because, after the flavoring, I'd probably be around 20mg.

It's not looking too popular at the moment DBA. I have read posts from a few people looking for flavourless juice though so there are more of us around.

Just for the record, Johnson Creek don't measure mg nic per ml in the same way most other suppliers apparently do. They measure mg per 1.2ml, so 24mg from them is really around 18mg per ml.

No wonder I don't get the massive nic hit from JCSJ juice that I was thinking I should. Oh well, I need to taper it down anyway. I still smoke analogs but, I'm down to about a pack a week. I vape almost all of the time.

Kate, very useful info on the Johnson's Creek ratings - what a bizarre way of showing the strengths. It would never have occurred to me there might be different ways of expressing it, I'd (perhaps foolishly) assumed this was a standard measurement of mg per ml. Why on earth pick 1.2?

A quick question if I may - what kind of flavourings would you use yourself? Would there be any issues of whether there's a suitability for vapourising them - could some flavouring materials be adding back some of the toxins we've just rid ourselves of by cutting out tobacco?

Hi Tetsab, welcome to the forum.

The information about JC's measurements was found on a post from their owner on another forum. I can't remember the exact post now and it's unavailable but it had something to do with the amount of nicotine in a cartridge. I think he was saying that a cartridge holds 1.2ml but that doesn't reflect the experience of anyone around here. It's being generous to say you can get 1ml out of a classic cartridge, in my experience it's more like 0.8ml. It is indeed an odd way to measure, especially when everyone else seems to work in mg per ml.

I use LorAnn flavourings - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/2498-lorann-candy-flavours.html They're concentrated and come in great flavours. It's a good idea to avoid oils, colourings and sugars for the sake of your health and atomiser. There appears to be no research about inhaling food flavourings, this is a new habit, not something people have had reason to look into in the past. I did find one flavouring that is known to cause lung disease but it is not used in LorAnn flavourings - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...oking/2666-inhaling-flavouring-chemicals.html

It could be that we are inhaling untested toxins, we don't know yet :(
