The domestic market would generate plenty of revenue, it's the MSA money that will have a significant impact. Taxes are already in place for resellers and can be adjusted to cover e-juice and open systems, nic is also something that can be a taxable option.

Angie, if they break it into pieces and attack the issue from multiple angles it will be difficult to defend on our end. I believe they are just attempting to stagger us as a group that is becoming more organized and is gaining some ground through resent studies that are pro-vape.

We only have about 300 Nautilus BVC coils stockpiled for the Mrs. The goal is at least twice that. Right now she maintains her own gear. It'll suck when she has to switch to a Kayfun. If she had to rebuild/wick then she'd quit vaping or go back to smoking.
You will just have to suck up and do it for her then. KF still easier than trying to rebuild the BVC coils.

When I started using coffee juices to cut down on the AM smokes I was (lemon & coffee was plain nasty) going thru coils much faster. What finally worked was every 3rd night before bed I changed my coil, rinsed with hot tap water and put the coil in a shot glass of cheap vodka/plain alcohol, coil upside down. Rinse again in the morning and let air dry. Using the UC will break down the wick and will cause leaking in my experience. With the citrus juices I only cleaned once a week.

I did the survey. Removing flavors is such a dumb idea. If kids inhaled stuff they're not supposed to because it tasted good, underage smoking wouldn't exist. They do it because it's forbidden and they think it's cool.

Kids don't need flavors to do something stupid. I can't imagine Tide pods tasted very good. Now the new thing is to try and snort a condom up your nose. Seriously who comes up with this nonsense? When I was a teen this level of stupidity was never even dreamed of, much less achieved.

And how is smoking less stupid? The health risks are addressed in schools here from a young age and repeated regularly.

Smoking is less stupid than these other things for two reasons. First with smoking you are using the product as intended. To eat Tide pods or snort condoms up your nose takes an extra leap of stupidity. The second reason is that both the pods and condoms can be instantly fatal, not fatal 20-50 years later like smoking.

I can only blame the internet. It's making people stupid, I saw on change.org there's some "movement" to do something to FB (possibly sue it for breaches of privacy.

I would love to understand how anyone using FB for more than five minutes would remotely CONSIDER that FB has ANY interest in ANYONE'S privacy, ever.

But, I'm glad I was a youth when I was. Lots of free time, innocuous things like carrot pipes (every day before biology, but if you ever met my biology teacher, you'd understand, not too much uh, "learning lost" there at any time.

Also, I've made my fair share of mistakes, but I did sort of know what I was doing to an extent. I will add that "Nutmeg cookies" were the EXCEPTION to that rule, but it sure taught me to NOT assume that anything I ingested COULD have a psychoactive (or other negative effects) and to learn what I was doing wrong, so I could do it successfully.

But I never ingested any "known" poisons (other than the Nutmeg cookies, which, IMO WERE poison. I'm pretty hardy but I've never had something so "innocuous" lay me out for so long. I was actually praying they would kill me. Of course, I probably ate too many, but yes, for the most part, I planned out my bad stuff and I really like to hope that I wouldn't eat an anthrax sandwich while my partner in crime videotaped the response and whatnot.

With tide pods so prevalent, I'm somewhat annoyed that more isn't being done about the tide pods and etc. I mean, even CIGARETTES take DECADES to kill you, never mind vaping.

There may need to be a "license to internet" for some kids and not just IQ, one would have to measure state of arousal when watching high risk activities on line.

I also blame that dude (Jackass, was the show?) for starting that whole trend. I never saw the appeal, even slightly but man, teens sure seemed to. I was like, "Dude, life is going to beat you down hard and fast enough, seriously..."

True that but DIY black market would be insignificant compared to how the entire vaping industry affects their bottom like right now.
Whether this is true is greatly dependent on what will remain available on the "regulated" market. If people can buy palatable, effective products at the local C-Store, then I suspect you're right. I mean the vast majority of smokes buy commercial cigarettes, rather than rolling their own or smoking a pipe, despite the variety and cost savings that the latter options could provide. And just about none of them grow their own tobacco, despite the fact that doing so legal everywhere in the US and doping so would reduce the cost of smoking to levels comparable with vaping DIY liquids.

So why do smokers buy commercial cigarettes? I think it's simple: Convenience. The exact same reason that so many vapers use drop-in coils and buy pre-made liquid. So again, I think if there are palatable and effective products readily available on the post regulatory market, most vapers will buy them. But if regulations prevent such products from being available anywhere buy underground, that's exactly where the vaping market will go.

If my wife was a vaper (she's not, 'cause she's never been a smoker), I'm confident she would be the same.

Instead of stockpiling coils, I'd buy a half dozen or more Kayfuns, build 'em, line 'em up for her, and have her grab a fresh one whenever she thinks that one she's using needs "a new coil". Then when she's running low on fresh ones, I'd rebuild (or at least rewick) the ones she she's put in the pile of "spent" ones. I doubt a building session would be necessary more than once a week (depending on the number of spare Kayfuns I'd gotten).

Then again, Kayfuns, while certainly providing a nice vape, are a PITA. So I'd probably teach her to use a squonker. I just rewicked the one I use the most this afternoon. It took less than 5 minutes, and it's been 2-1/2 weeks since I last did it. :)
