I tried making a pastis vape with Anise and real UZO. It turned out the anise was overpowering to say the least.

Just received some of the flavor art flavors.
Some of them smell so bad..
Cream must be off...it has a revolting putrid smell.
Same with Barley malt.
some are very good...
TIRA-MI-SU is good.
Bread crust is also awful..
anyone else experienced this ? Or have mine gone off?

I've received a whole big bunch of them very recently but haven't yet got round to trying most of them.
One of them was Vienna Cream. It's a sort of orange in colour, identical in colour to the butterscotch and caramel, and smells very similar to the caramel but not quite the same. This surprised me and made me wonder if that's how it's supposed to be as I expected it to be clear like most of the others I got?
I certainly didn't expect it to be dark in colour as Flavourart describe it as a combination of "cream made with eggs, meringues, milk", all of which aren't dark.
Has anybody else had Vienna Cream and was it like the one I got?

I agree on the cream - it smells like very old sour milk. Nasty-smelling stuff. I'm still willing to try a little - very little - and vape it, one of these days. I doubt that it would be good alone, but adding a touch to their Espresso might be good.
I do like the Tiramisu, and the wife loves it. We ordered 250ml of that flavor alone.

We have a serious problem on the cream front!!
I have not found a decent cream flavor from any of these vendors.

That sucks. I can't stand the taste of whatever gives Chinese juice that bitter "off" taste.
But did you try the cream straight, as the only flavoring? If so, I call you crazy.

Despite being European (from the UK), I didn't know Vienna cream was similar to custard although the "eggs" might've given it away but didn't know if it was egg whites or yolks or both. The image on Flavourart made it look like a white cream, not a yellow custard type.
Nevertheless, should it smell like caramel and be darkish in colour compared to most of the other Flavourart flavours? I guess I'm wondering if I got a mislabelled one or something.
Re ordinary commercial nic cream, I too haven't found any I like. I find them quite foul...
. Given what you and Scottes have said about the Flavourart cream, I won't try it either. The supplier I got mine from was out of stock of the cream, which is why I thought I'd try the Vienna one instead, just in case it might bear some slight resemblance to cream... Seems not?

Quovadis, have you tried the cream flavor from eliquidplanet? I'm curious what you think if you have. I'm very happy with it but that is based only on the cream I buy from any grocery store to make ice cream. I have to agree with you on the Bread Crust flavor from FlavourArt. I haven't vaped it yet but the smell was enough to make me wary to say the least.
I'm not certain about all the flavors, but I will say customer service and shipping times have been outstanding from FlavourArt. My shipment from Italy was sent on a Friday and was waiting for me on Monday. The "created on" date on my bottles was only three days earlier than the date I received it.

The caramel cream is "Creme Brulee"
It is the addition of brown sugar caramelized on the cream or "Panna cotta"
Literally "cooked cream"
The only difference between custard and Vienna cream is that Vienna cream often has a hint of brandy.
Either way.. the Italians got it completely wrong...

Okay, I've been thinking about mixing my own for awhile, but I have a few concerns/questions that have held me back. BTW, I vape about 3mL a day. You all seem to like mixing, so maybe you could tell me why by answering this simple multiple answer question.
In consideration of the start up/supply cost and time commitment, I find that mixing my own juice is:
A) great because I'm DIYer to the bone and don't care about the time or money that much.
B) is a great way to save a lot of money in the long run.
C) worth the time and cost because the juice is so much better.
D) _______________________________(fill in the blank)

Concerning milk, cream and bread crust ( so far the only flavors did not meet the expectations) it is worthy to say that they have been developed to be used (milk, cream) in fat products, vegetable creams, ice creams and similar. This means that flavor binds itself with fat and proteins and the release in this food matrix is very different compared to vapour. This rule applies to all flavors but the components of milk and particularly cream, make them unpleasant in vaping as they might remind spoiled milk or a cheesy one. So if these flavors are a must have for vaping they need to undergo a formula modification, to cope with this new application. Bread crust have been developed for gluten free bread and it was intended to be used in a bread dough, and flavor must withstand baking. In this phase, part of flavor volatilzes and harsh notes you detect on vaping are stripped off in the oven. These are the main reasons why some flavors might not work properly in vaping, but this flavor is pretty good after baking.
