I do hope everyone stays safe and stocks up on necessary needs. juice, bats, atties/cartos or your rebuildable atomizer, car full of gas, candles and yes~vodka. Oh, some can goods with a manual can opener. Plenty of coal for cooking up anything thawing in the freezer

We look pretty OK as far as Isaac is concerned!
We're in the NE corridor and we usually get rain and a few winds, but that's the extent of it.
Back in 04 that wasn't the case when we got 3 in a row........all we experienced was one fallen tree that thankfully missed our lanai screen. We had such a fun hurricane party with our neighbors!
I never get too over-confident with these storms though, because ya just never know! All prepared! batteries are all charged and the big thermos is ready for coffee. Dat's all I need!
There is of course a difference between being "over confident" and just ... well not really sure the right term for it ... calm and collected and not giving into the frenzy is part of it.

Drat, I'm almost out. But they have some at my parents house. And I'm on my way there later today. Up in South GA. Totally unrelated to the storm tho.

Oh, I'm sure we can find that better stuff in jars here in Florida no problem. Isn't everything North of around Gainsville/Ocala basically South GA anyways?

I got hit by a nasty band right around Wildwood as I headed north. Had to drop down to around 45-50. Made it to GA in no problem otherwise.
Naw. Dad had surgery this morning here in Valdosta, so I drove up to be here.
Hope your dads surgery went well. Just a bunch of rain and some wind-everything seems to be calming back down in NE FL
Surgery did go well. About 3 hours to work on some cervical disc stuff. We left him this evening after they gave him some pain pills. They decided to keep him over night. He had recently started on Plavix, so there was a little seeping, which is why the procedure took a little longer ... and they're keeping him overnight for observation.

Well, I'm about to head back to FL. Within about 30m of getting in the car, I'll be across the state line. Just gotta stop and eat before I go. No Hardees in Orlando that I know of, so going there. Yum. (Not healthy, but yum)
