It's not the first "modular mod" to be conceptualized. The Precise ELA is a telescopic mech that will eventually have a DNA 20 module and Hybrid atomizers to replace the top cap, and also has a telescopic tube much like he described. It is, however, the first working modular prototype with the DNA 20, at least that I have seen. Very cool!

I've been lurking the ELA thread the last couple months - def innovative, I had to watch the PRECISE ELA telescoping video several times to catch what was happening..
so there are plans to put a DNA 20 in the ELA? that's news to me! will be looking out for that!

This device looks to be worthy of the monicker "Game Changer."

Mech mod, telescopic, VW, VV, 901 headed, or 801 headed, or 510 with a DNA20 in a ss tube?

The innovation in ONE device is incredible.

it's like they took all the hottest things of the moment and mashed it all together!

I've been somewhat active in that thread since before I pre-ordered mine. There has been much talk from members and from David himself about the add-ons for the ELA. The DNA20 top cap being just one of them. I believe he has a couple different atty ideas to incorperate into a hybrid design for the ELA to replace it's existing top cap. As it is now, it's just a mech but will come with 2 top caps, 1 a standard 510, and the second an adjustable airflow cap. If you search for the thread on the Strata that is what most assume will be the (first) hybrid atty for the ELA.

Not trying to thread jack, just saying this stuff is already in the works on another mod as well. The future of vaping promises exciting new tech to make everyone involved very happy!

Hybrid doesn't have to mean Genisis.

Where there is a wick/fill hole ... there will be leakage. I get what you are saying but I'm having a hard time thinking of any hybrid (regardless of style) which won't leak if laid on its side.

Unless they're coming out with an Odyesseus-like atomizer.

Well regardless of how fast I'm going to buy one and how cool I think it is, this is the Provari killer. It also shows that US modders are finally taking the next step in versatility and cross compatibility. I would have preferred that he used the Zenesis 2 threading rather than Evic though, as a standard threading for US made PV's would be awesome.

not sure but i think quite a few use P+ (super T ) with genesis... i do...
agreed the button bottom is not great, but i have mod holder that works pretty good.
the P+ is narrower than the ELA which i hope will have a wider button as its girth is 2-4 mm wider than the P+.... which does stand on its 14mm button if you're careful.

i doubt superT would consider a better base for the button ... but Faceless did with his V2 bottom ihybrid... don't know why some won't jump on the Genesis wagon a little faster.

I'm looking into the DNA20 for sub 1.0 Ohms... any info on that? the wattage is plentiful so i don't know what the problem would be.
One of the DNA20 box makers told me the DNA20 specs say 1.0 Ohm is doable, but why not sub 1.0 ?

I believe David said there would be a separate add on firing button for use with the DNA module.
