Update: I went back in and trimmed the wicks a little shorter. I think one was getting threaded in threads on the middle tube. Put everything back together again tightly and no leakage so far. Fingers crossed.

Hold the wick up when you install the chamber tube and then start to position the wick in front of the liquid channels.

Do you have an o-ring for the fill screw - is there some leakage too? I still haven`t build my "Tobecos" ( I´m never sure when the shop doesn`t like to write the manufacturer - clones to be cloned ;) ) because they are spare, but when I washed them I filled them with water and wanted to check the fill screw for leakage and there was a little bit water when I closed the airholes and blowed in the drip tip. But I blowed and used thin water, so I think I´m save.

I'm sorry to hear your bad news. I ordered a nano kit from a different site to use with my KFL from FC. After what you experienced, I wonder if I'm out some bucks. When I get mine, I will try it on my KF3.1.

Thanks for the info my friend

Maybe there is a special KFL Nano Kit and you`ll get it. If you can`t use it for your KFL you`ll be able to use it for the 3.1 which is usually a 1:1 clone.

I`m sorry to say that the Nano kit will not fit to the Kafun Lite :( maybe it will fit when you mix it with the Custom Kit parts.
1. The KFL needs a wider chimney to fit in the top cap ( 3.1 hole is smaller )
2. Chimney has to be longer ( because the chamber ist not high enough )
3. Chimney thread has to be as short as the one from the KFL, otherwise you`ll get a short.

I still haven`t seen a 1:1 KFL clone ( maybe the tobeco KFL+ could be one ). All of them have a wrong top cap - it`s not lathed inside and because this looses some volume, they make the chamber very tiny to get the lost volume back ( the price makes the clone and all clone the clone )

To make a KFL short it needs a KFL, a Nano Kit and a 3.1 top cap and chamber. That´s not funny

My 3.1 with a Nano Kit and an adapter set for Nemesis is more than half inch smaller than the KFL with Nemesis.

The bearer of bad news usually gets hanged - please don`t

I just recently viewed customer photos specifically with the Tobeco KFL and Nano Fit, and it fit perfect ... so we'll see. Perhaps you are speaking of an authentic Nano kit, I am not ... I ordered a "clone" nano kit made specifically for clones.

This Nano Kit would be interesting - mine is from the big vendor ;)

Well seems that you may have worked your leaking issues, which sounds like it was the result of screwing your chimney down on top of the wick, as opposed to flipping the wicks up, and through the top of the open chimney, and then screwing the chimney, and tucking your wicks back inside and resting on top of the ledge in front of the wick holes.

Just a learning curve. :)

Aaaaah! Thanks for the tip to pull to wicks up while screwing on the middle tube. Will do that next rebuild. I had no leakage at all from the fill screw. Only from the air hole. I filled from the top this last time and no leaks! I do not like having to try to keep up with a tiny screw driver so I hope I can get consistency with top fill method.

I have a clone kit too and I just checked it.

Good: I didn`t get a short when I screwed on the chimey
Bad: The hole in the topcap is too wide - no way too touch the o-ring
Good: With an 5x1mm o-ring on the chimney the top cap is hard to screw on, but it seems to work

So with this little mod it could fit - your right - I `ll recoil it tomorrow with a mc and report ( but only if I have good news - don`t want to hang ) ;)

Nano.jpg

here are some 3.1 and KFL and Nano parts - from left to right

3.1 PMMA chamber - KFL matte chamber - 3.1 chimney - nano chimney - KFL matte chimney

I do the flip up the wick to trim with the added benefit of not getting it caught in the threads. It's nice because if you flip them up you can trim it about 1/8-1/4 of an inch above the tube and they come out to the perfect length.

I also prefer the top fill method when possible, which is how I fill my 3.1 also .. I also prefer to not mess around with a screwdriver every time I want to refill.

I bet your KFL looks good with your new Nemmy. :)
