No, it's not fixed. There's an issue with the actual redirect. The server guys will have to look into it and fix things under the hood.

If the site itself was filtered on ECF, you wouldn't even be able to post an unparsed link. It would show as *************.com

Thanks a Lot, That's all we ask. And again "Thank You"

So I told you I would post pictures of my 510 connections to try to find the issue with the 4nine mod. I made the situation easier by filing down the 510 on my KFL+, so now it is exactly as long as the Igo-m (it was originally like 1.5mm longer). To give you an idea of how long the Igo-M connection is in relation to the 4nine, on my device it is probably something like 0.25mm past the delrin insulator. It might be even less than that.

Anyways, I don't have a 18490 to test that mode, the 18350 mode works fine and should work with the KFL+ now, but the 18650 mode won't work with either atty. My battery is a 18650 nipple or button top Efest V2 2000mah red battery, so to my knowledge it should work. I have all adjustable bits tinkered with to allow the most space inside the tube, and yes I am making sure the fire button is properly setting.

I made a temporary solution which works but I hate that I have to do it, which is using essensially a cut up cork to make a thin ring to act as a spacer between the 490-350 tube connection and the 650-490 tube connection threading. This gives me about 2 mm which puts it right at the perfect fire action on the button. I highly doubt my battery just happens to be 2mm extra long, but Idk. Oh yeah and I have 2 of these 18650's, identical model number and type and all, and both don't work by the same length.

Any suggestions? I'd like to not have to Jerry-rig my device with cork, and I feel like even adding a metal spacer isn't a good solution, as this device is designed around being directly connected to the battery with as little in the way as possible. Metal changes would lead to a voltage drop I'm sure.

Ok ... before I answer, clarify for me again exactly the issue you are having right now? I just want to make sure I have the right picture in mind of what is going on before I answer.

Basically I am unable to run in 18650 mode because the tolerances are too little. The batter fits inside and the device is able to be assembled, but the magnet is engaged just by screwing the top cap on, so that when I screw the atty in it is permanently firing.

An Efest 18650 v1 (flat top) is 66mm, a Sony VTC4/5 is 65mm.

An Efest 18650 v2 (nipple top) is 66.3mm.

The only solution is to change to a shorter battery.

A Sony would give you a perfect 1mm button throw, depending on atomizer 510 length of course.

This is a caveat of the 4nine, everything must be perfect for the mod to function.

The tolerances are correct, it's an advanced device. Meaning you have to work within the limitations of the mod to use it. I fully understand it's an unfortunate situation when you don't have everything you need to use a device.

I have atomizers with short 510 connections and mods with short adjustable pins, I can't use them together but it is what it is. It does suck but neither device is really faulty.

I will say male and female 510 connections should be standardized, I mean look how long the 510 has been around.

Just in case anyones interested, they have '1:1 clones' of the cartel special edition mod in brass and ss on fasttech, they come with all tubes as well and from the pics and description look really good. Got myself a brass :D

They also got the latest kanger v2 coils for the mega, V2, mini, etc. in 0.8ohm, 1.0ohm and 1.2ohm

Ok .. this is both odd, and frustrating, because the nipple top recommendation comes from the original creator of the 4nine however, the first run of the original did not have a delrin insulator in the top cap .. that was added much later after a few complaints.

From what I can see about the top cap, the delrin insulator does not sit flush in the top, it protrudes slightly on the clone, so this has to be part of the reason for the tight tolerance in there. So you can try filing down the insulator until it is flush, or just get a pair of flat tops for 650 mode.

I only run in the 4nine in 500 mode, so I haven't encountered this issue ... oddly enough, there was a report on FT that a user couldn't use the 4nine with flat tops in 650 mode  .. the 4nine is a very "particular" mech.

Thank you fivefour, this is an even better response :) .. Of course actual battery size is a consideration, but I didn't go there because I was not certain about the actual length of an Efest, compared to a Sony, or Samsung, so thank you for this information. :)

Just as you said, the 4nine is an advanced user mech, it is not that kind of mech that you can slap on any device, or any battery, and go, and in this way it is a limiting device.

4nines on group buy with upgraded top cap.

Hey bugs :) .. Just saw the two listings for the "updated top cap" 4nine. I can't really get a feel for that top cap based on the one photo shown, but it looks like there is an additional brass contact in the top cap.

Kayfun mini and Magma also posted today, but I haven't had a chance to really check out the pictures ... and now I am distracted because I think I just heard the mailman :D

My take on the cap was that they added a screw that takes away the hybrid mode functionality so that any 510 will work now instead of those with an adjustable one :2c:

I'm not sure what the 4nine update is either. Looks like they added a contact between the atty and battery so it's not a true hybrid any more.

Will definitely be getting a kafun mini next order. I have an R80 folding pipe that has a protank mini on it and I just don't enjoy those any more. I also have to get a 22mm stillaire. The 28.5 has been heaven on a battery for me. :thumb:

The magma peaked my interest, might wait and see if it's a good version

Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk

I have yet to check out the pics on that one myself .. I will go check out all the details of the new arrivals after I finish playing with my vape mail!

Infinite KFL V2 arrived today and IT'S AWESOME! I haven't built anything yet, just checked all the threads, and pieces to make sure everything was in the order. The quality is excellente, and definitely appears to be the best Kayfun that I have, but I will not know that for sure until I build, and vape.

Will be back later with pics
