So I told you I would post pictures of my 510 connections to try to find the issue with the 4nine mod. I made the situation easier by filing down the 510 on my KFL+, so now it is exactly as long as the Igo-m (it was originally like 1.5mm longer). To give you an idea of how long the Igo-M connection is in relation to the 4nine, on my
device it is probably something like 0.25mm past the delrin insulator. It might be even less than that.
Anyways, I don't have a 18490 to test that mode, the 18350 mode works fine and should work with the KFL+ now, but the 18650 mode won't work with either atty. My battery is a 18650 nipple or button top Efest V2 2000mah red battery, so to my knowledge it should work. I have all adjustable bits tinkered with to allow the most space inside the tube, and yes I am making sure the fire button is properly setting.
I made a temporary solution which works but I hate that I have to do it, which is using essensially a cut up cork to make a thin ring to act as a spacer between the 490-350 tube connection and the 650-490 tube connection threading. This gives me about 2 mm which puts it right at the perfect fire action on the button. I highly doubt my battery just happens to be 2mm extra long, but Idk. Oh yeah and I have 2 of these 18650's, identical model number and type and all, and both don't work by the same length.
Any suggestions? I'd like to not have to Jerry-rig my
device with cork, and I feel like even adding a metal spacer isn't a good solution, as this device is designed around being directly connected to the battery with as little in the way as possible. Metal changes would lead to a voltage drop I'm sure.
