hi nik, no, I cancelled FT's first iteration and ordered the newer one. i'm 99% sure it's made by infinite though. I think I made the right choice but, it doesn't ship until the 29th :(

Yeah, I agree .. the second one FT posted looks just like SXK. But that shipping date though? That is why I am over the moon to have been able to avoid all that. I just hope that it doesn't get pushed back on ya though. You know how it is when there are hundreds of orders for a new release.

You will have to live vicariously through me darling. :D Interestingly enough, I read that many of those who ordered the first iteration from FT are also still awaiting shipping? I also read last night that there are some US pre-orders for it that have also been delayed ... Makes me feel super lucky right now!

To be honest, I completely forgot about it. You think I would know this from my time overseas, but alas, that was nearly 10 years ago so. And the Hangsen e-liquid isn't terrible. I got a coffee and Vanilla. The vanilla is actually pretty spot on for the taste, not bad at all. Coffee, unfortunately, tastes mostly like pure black coffee and that's just not my thing. If you like black coffee, it might not be bad. I might see if I can try and mix it with something else and get some flavor going with it.

Coffee e liquids almost always taste like black coffee, even when its supposed to be a cappucino. I usually mix coffee flavors down with something carmelish, and sweet. I love a good coffee vape, but they require a lot of reworking to get it robust, yet smooth, and creamy. :)

I'm busy looking to what to order, having nothing to track is just not normal, I need to order something
If you'd like I can send you one of my tracking numbers and you can watch that ;)

Usually I treat any China shipment as order and forget. Then I get a tiny surprise when I find a package in the mailbox. I rather like the group buys that way because I never get the tracking number. I do keep an eye out to see that it did get packaged and shipped. Then, weeks after, surprise ;)

Oh I am here lurking :pervy:

Darth I am going to give you a Pow Pow for causing me to worry for the last .. err, 20 minutes

So, what can I influence you to buy, so that we can end the vape mail drought? Well picky, I know that its the black Magma that you have your heart set on, but that black Taifun would look smashing with your FOL, and its in the right box too.

If you weren't so sour on Kayfun's, I would suggest the black 3.1, which I think looks gorgeous, at least in the pics.

Dudes, why do they drop things so often? I mean, your hands are usually larger than a Woman's, so shouldn't that translate into a better grip? .. This is one reason why I love being a Woman, I don't break stuff. .... Well, ok, I break some things :D

It was in my lap when I got out of the car, skidded across the pavement and knocked my kayfun apart also.

I think I am going to get the silver magma, I could be waiting for ever for black, and if I really like and then the black comes, then can order that one too, but want to make the order up more, I admit I am a bit hesitant to order the black taifun after this last one.

I was actually looking at the black 4nine mod with 18650 tube, I have 1 efest 18650 2000mah nipple top battery, and according to charts it is safe to run a 0.4ohm coil on, I run dual coils at 0.5ohms, so a bit close for comfort, so not sure what better batteries for it would be, if I ordered it. But do think the 4nine would be good for work, as no locking ring, just press and vape.

Then again maybe I should get the 30W box, is a very good price with coupon, but still pricey for what I normally spend, and earlier worked out, with a fresh battery and dual coils at 0.5ohms, I am vaping at 27.5W's already, so don't think it would be worth it for me.

    Decisions, decisions.

Oh I'm no newbie to ordering from China, and yes meant to order and forget, but personally I can not do that, half of the fun for me, is watching the tracking, the excitement when it actually moves after 2 weeks of just sitting there.

Well I found the black magma on ebay for $19 shipped, so went with it, $4 more than the silver on FC, but it is the black I wanted and delivery estimate says Monday, sorry FC, couldn't wait any longer.

That 4nine has got me thinking I want a mod with a recessed switch though, be easier for me at work, when I'm busy at work, be nice not to have to mess with a locking ring.

That black 4nine is sleek and sexy, and would look so hot with your new magma.

How'd I do, Nikki? buy it, buy it, buy it!

Darn. I've been getting the Magma itch lately, but not sure that I wanted to wait the 3 - 4 weeks. May have to do something similar and get one locally. Haven't bought any vape hardware on eBay or my local B&M in a while.

I just want you to know that if I do, it will be your fault :D

Yes I been itching for a few weeks now, most of my mods are black, so been holding on, but the itch has got to bad, and don't mind paying the extra $4 to get the black and get it in less than a week, listing states it as a Tobeco, so not bad for the price.

It would be my work mod, so would be used with foggers, but have 2 concerns, the reports of some 4nine switch not being completely recessed, I use a flash light belt clip for my e-cig at work, so don't want to firing constant without me noticing.

Other concern is using the foggers at 0.5ohms, not sure my efest would be good to use, and not sure what nipple top battery would be for that resistance, so will have to look into that more.

I have the stainless steel 4nine from the first group buy and the 2nd brushed brass with improved top cap should appear in my mailbox any day when I can comment on it. I'll agree that the black one would look good with the black Magma. Mine is setup with a real black Fogger but I'd think that the clone FC offers would work also. I've tried it with a Kayfun lite + clone and it works well. I think the older style Kayfuns that don't have the adjustable 510 connector won't work. I use Purple Efest and Sony VTC5 flat top batteries without issue. The button sticks out of the bottom of the mod a fraction of a millimeter which doesn't affect its pocket friendliness nor does it fire on its own. Its stable on a flat surface. So assuming that the black version is the same as the stainless steel one you should be fine. They appear to all be made by the same manufacturer.

I love the just set it down and don't bother futzing with a lock ring. It makes up for the slight discomfort of the button. I have fibromyalgia and the whole use your pinky to fire the mod thing is uncomfortable with pretty much any bottom button mod. But felt I should mention that I find it a bit more uncomfortable than say a Nemesis or Stingray button.

I have 1 purple efest and 6 vtc5's, but didn't think flat tops worked very well in the 4nine, not having to buy different batteries is a big plus.

Thanks for letting me know about the switch, it is not having a locking ring that is appealing to me, at home I don't care, but at work, rather not to have to mess with a locking ring, I do have the panzer which has a locking ring, but don't really need to use it, but it is a very big and heavy mod for me to use at work.

FWIW my Hana mini clone has changed my wish list significantly, moving mech mods to low priority. This thing does a better job delivering power to the atty then any mech mod I've had or tried. I could copper tape and noalox a mech with a proper switch and pin and get a comparable performance under load but I'd still not be able to dial up and down wattage on demand and get a consistent voltage through most of the battery cycle. It's even got me using my taifun again lol. To summarize it spoiled me and I think it's worth a try.

I like the hana clones but the battery life with anything low resistance is just terrible. But that is not just the hana clones....anything where you have to use high wattage with a single 18650. I get much more life and satisfying vape out of my mechs. But that's just me. My next box mod will be a dual 18650. I don't even care if it is regulated or not.

As for the 4 nine I have had three and use flat top batteries in all of them. I have a magma on one of them and it makes for a VERY short throw. Very short! With other toppers that the throw is long with I use a magnet on the battery top to make the throw shorter. When the throw is shorter it Is really smooth. But don't go putting it in your pocket or anything that something could just touch up on the button.

Disclaimer ---I know flat tops are not recommended but that is all I have used. If your 510 protrudes out far enough there are no worries or at least that has worked for me. I LOVE my copper 4nine....that thing is a beast paired up with my magma. SS not so much. Does great at first but voltage drops rather quickly on that and you can tell a huge difference compared to the copper one. Or at least I can. But that could have been also related to my paired atty.

Usage definitely dictates how practical the hana is, especially the mini. I'm fortunate mine lasts me all day on a charge. I find I'm getting a better vape off .7 or .8 ohm builds at 4.2v then I could get on my mechs with .5 or .6 builds, more comparable to the .3 - .4 ohm builds I was running on my SS 4nine which I think is great if not a little janky :)
