I think I am going to get the silver magma, I could be waiting for ever for black, and if I really like and then the black comes, then can order that one too, but want to make the order up more, I admit I am a bit hesitant to order the black taifun after this last one.

I was actually looking at the black 4nine mod with 18650 tube, I have 1 efest 18650 2000mah nipple top battery, and according to charts it is safe to run a 0.4ohm coil on, I run dual coils at 0.5ohms, so a bit close for comfort, so not sure what better batteries for it would be, if I ordered it. But do think the 4nine would be good for work, as no locking ring, just press and vape.

Then again maybe I should get the 30W box, is a very good price with coupon, but still pricey for what I normally spend, and earlier worked out, with a fresh battery and dual coils at 0.5ohms, I am vaping at 27.5W's already, so don't think it would be worth it for me.

Decisions, decisions.

I would get a new Sony VTC,4 or 5 or Samsung 20/25-R .. you do not want to run an Efest close to its max amp limit. I believe that batt you have has a 10A limit, and based on tests, it sucks beyond 5A.

I think you would enjoy the DNA30 for work ... you should listen to Nikki on that one, its a perfect work mod. But I would get a battery that is at least 2500mah, and 15A to run with it. Samsung 25-R ;-)

And you should get the Silver Magma ... otherwise I will never hear the end of your yearnings

Well I found the black magma on ebay for $19 shipped, so went with it, $4 more than the silver on FC, but it is the black I wanted and delivery estimate says Monday, sorry FC, couldn't wait any longer.

That 4nine has got me thinking I want a mod with a recessed switch though, be easier for me at work, when I'm busy at work, be nice not to have to mess with a locking ring.

Oh yeah! Then ignore my post that is right before this one  I think you made the right move, only $4 more is deffo worth it ... happy for ya boo :)

It would be my work mod, so would be used with foggers, but have 2 concerns, the reports of some 4nine switch not being completely recessed, I use a flash light belt clip for my e-cig at work, so don't want to firing constant without me noticing.

Other concern is using the foggers at 0.5ohms, not sure my efest would be good to use, and not sure what nipple top battery would be for that resistance, so will have to look into that more.

If the Tobecco has the same long 510 as the other clones, then you will be fine with a flat top 650 .. I would not use the Efest though, see my other post for battery recommendations. :)

Your concerns about the 4nine are valid, because the recent batches seem to have quite a few switches that are not flush .. mine are perfectly flush, but mine are also from the first batches, and clearly qc has gone off a bit ... proceed with caution. However, due to the nature of the switch, and the firm press that is required to fire it, I don't think you will have issues. But it might be a good idea to check out one of the many threads on ECF regarding recent 4nine issues.

I have 1 purple efest and 6 vtc5's, but didn't think flat tops worked very well in the 4nine, not having to buy different batteries is a big plus.

Thanks for letting me know about the switch, it is not having a locking ring that is appealing to me, at home I don't care, but at work, rather not to have to mess with a locking ring, I do have the panzer which has a locking ring, but don't really need to use it, but it is a very big and heavy mod for me to use at work.

As long as your 510 pin is really long, flat tops are less of an issue in 650 mode, as I only have flat top 650's, and tried it with my KFL and the switch felt fine .. I would not, under any circumstances use a flat top in 350 mode with the 4nine though, which you are not considering anyways.

FWIW my Hana mini clone has changed my wish list significantly, moving mech mods to low priority. This thing does a better job delivering power to the atty then any mech mod I've had or tried. I could copper tape and noalox a mech with a proper switch and pin and get a comparable performance under load but I'd still not be able to dial up and down wattage on demand and get a consistent voltage through most of the battery cycle. It's even got me using my taifun again lol. To summarize it spoiled me and I think it's worth a try.

I hate to say it, but I kind of agree... You guys know that I am a MECH HEAD, but after using the DNA30 for a week, I was giving my mech with copper contacts the side eye (true story) .. But, I will say that I love the Kayfun 3.1 with the DNA however, I didn't love it with a Kayfun mini, Squape, or Taifun .. but it was brilliant with the Kayfun 3.1 at .9 and 20W. I didn't try either of my KFL with it yet.

I built my taifun to .8 ohms using 26ga. kanthal. Way too hot for the airflow at 30w but I'm getting great flavor @ 18-22w. Good to hear the kayfun works well, might add a v2 to the list, I like all the accessories now available.

How have you not tested out those sexy infinite clones on it yet?

The Sony's are a great choice in the 4nine, IMHO. I tried to cover everything you wanted to know and keep in mind a pocket carry at work.

I was looking at the 4nine tonight as I used it. I was using a 2400 grit sanding pad to smooth the bottom of a new Stingray tube and got to thinking. I think a good part, perhaps all, of the discomfort I feel with the 4nine switch is the rather sharp edge of the bottom of the main 18350 tube at the pair of cutouts that let you fire the switch with the side of your finger. On the clone at least there is no rounded edge. The tube transitions from side to cutout in a nice sharp 90 degree angle. And that's what causes the discomfort, especially because with fibromyalgia that sort of harsh, rigid edge on anything is uncomfortable.

I'll get to sanding and report back if successful tomorrow.

Do you mean the Infinite KFL clone yet? No, not yet, but I will get around to it .. been using my FOL mod and Ivogo Mini exclusively since Sunday being that I have to review these little buggers. But I will throw my sexy Infinite KFL on it tomorrow and see how she vapes. :)

If you had been holding it in your big man hands like a good daddy, this never would have happened! :p

You should get a fanny pack, or laynard for your mod

A fanny pack...a fanny pack....a...fanny......pack

Really though I need to get a piece of pool noodle and put in my cupholder because I'm super bad at leaving mods in my lap...I do the same thing with my phone and it has skidded across the pavement once or twice as well.

Maybe it's time for Otterbox to branch out and do mod cases :)

Sanding the bottom sharp edges of the 350 tube made all the difference in my 4nine. Made the switch a lot smoother and eliminated the crunchy feel of the button when firing :)

I got the exact same bizarre results with one of my orders. And like yours the PayPal info showed the correct item. The correct thing arrived at my house though. Hopefully you'll get the right item also.

I remember ordering something and forgetting to log in. Could that be what yields the odd results?

Nope. Every order I complete lands in a confirmation page that says I bought a taifun GT. Which I did. Once. [emoji3]

Dudes, why do they drop things so often? I mean, your hands are usually larger than a Woman's, so shouldn't that translate into a better grip? .. This is one reason why I love being a Woman, I don't break stuff. .... Well, ok, I break some things :D
Yeah I don't get my male brethren as well. Take cell phones for instance. My friends drop theirs at an average of twice a day.
I'm the stray sheep, my previous phone went 2 years without a tumble.

got my stingray x last night

ok so before i start, i've gotten 3 packages from focalecig before i received everything from one order from FT, just an fyi

got home to see an envelope, yes yes yes, ripped it open and there was my stingray x box, the dripper i ordered with it was an after thought, took out the pieces and put it together, button wasn't exactly crunchy but loud, not super smooth...anyway put a battery and kayfun on top of it, lets get the party started, pushed the button....houston we have a problem! nothing happened...ok so maybe it's the kayfun, put on a taifun, nothing..ok stillare, nothing, hyper tank, nothing...ahh man this is a bummer, took it apart and noticed the sleeve that says stingray on it really spins on the copper and even slipped right off.....not sure if thats how it's supposed to be or not...but what seems to be the problem is the top cap..from the videos i've seen it looks like you screw the top on which pushes the button down, on this thing the button just hangs out of the top cap and is only pushed up by the battery but never makes connection

anyway so i moved onto the dripper...ripped open the plastic thing it was in, took it out and ohh this is a patriot no the tobh i ordered, dang

so i haven't touched anything and emailed doris, before i knew it i received an email back to make a video and take pictures...had trouble emailing a video because it kept telling me it was too big, but i did that and she assured she'd take care of things for me....really quick customer service so far

You lot need stop trying to tempt me with these 30W mods, I am tempted, but scared I might like so much, I won't want my mechs anymore, but also I will hold off, as now 50W mods coming out, now if FC get a 50W mod, I might not be able to stop myself :)

The fear is real my friend ;-) I don't really see the need for a 50W mod, but of course that doesn't mean that I won't end up with one. :)

A fanny pack...a fanny pack....a...fanny......pack

 I bet you I can make the fanny pack hot again ;-) And I'll give you two guesses as to how I would make it happen

Yeah, I hate to tell ya but that is the way that the Stingray that you ordered is supposed to be .. It was illustrated in the pics when FC first listed it, it showed the SS sleeve for the 350 tube removed. I have not looked at it since it first posted, but I know the pic was there when they first put it up.
