Did any notice that new Red Manhattan in the China Warehouse?? Its not Acerig, but still not sure on the manufacturer .. doesn't look as good to me. The milling of the brass switch is not as finessed as Acerig, and it looks like the threads were painted, but then they removed it?? That Red is not as sexy, its almost maroon looking to me.

Skeezy guy is still trying to compete, huh? More like a dark pink - hey, chicks wanna compete too!

Look at all the scratches on the machining, even if I wanted one I would not buy it from the pictures.

I guess you are talking about the ones pictured with a carrying pouch. They are stainless steel, I don't think they are any better, just heavier...and their threads have paint on them.

I am anti-stainless steel for this mod .. Aluminum is light weight but its a much better electrical conductor ( 61% relative to coppers 100% ) than both brass (28%) and most especially stainless steel (3-15%). And then you add partially coated threads and tops caps?

I noticed that when I caught sight of it under new items. The hint of paint is worse on the threads at the bottom of the tube. Compared to the manufacturer of the ones in the USA warehouse it falls short in almost every area. The design and construction of the switch, the hue of red, leftover paint, just everything. And considering these are competition mods, why stainless steel over aluminum? Aluminum conducts better. I'm guessing stainless steel is cheaper and easier to handle during manufacturing since its harder you don't have to be nearly as careful to keep dings and scratches off the mod.

 Skeezy guy though?

He's in a DIFFERENT competion.:laugh: He's trying to blow clouds somewhere else.

I dunno...I still think they have to be careful about what they choose to carry, just cuz they're not quite big enough to screw up yet. :2c:

That is exactly the point, being that the mods intention is for competition, this mod should never be made from stainless steel as that defeats the purpose. That is why the original was made from Copper and Aluminum, and why the good clone is as well.
