I saw that FC has added the 454 Big Block dripper under "new arrivals". Just going by the pictures it looks just like the authentic one I have. I really can not see any difference at all. I am not sure about the insulator materials and such details. The price is right also, only $9.75.
The 454 is the dripper I use every day along with my Magma clone.
The negative ring on FC's 454 clone looks to be stainless steel(same as authentic) and not brass like some other clones I have seen. I am not sure who the manufacturer is and I have asked Doris tonight if she knows. Just guessing it may be a Tobeco as I have seen pictures of them with the stainless steel negative ring.
I will wait to see if they add it to the US warehouse and if not I will order it from FC China site.
I run dual horizontal coils in mine at .17 ohms and it gives a great vape. But I feel it could use just a little more air flow with builds this low. That is the reason I want a clone so I can drill it for more air flow. I can not make myself drill the authentic one. The stock air flow is perfect for anything over .2 ohms in my opinion. I use one of the Cherry Vapes delrin oring-less drip tips with it, but the stock drip tip is not bad at all.
Go for it Porter, I would be interested to hear your thoughts .. but I am curious to know how it performs without the native drip tip that comes with it. I don't really care for that drip tip. Also, how large is the 510/drip hole?? I can get a good idea about that from the pics.
