the only receipt number I have is the transaction number on my paypal receipt. I put it in the box on the focalecig order tracker and it does nothing.

Did you go back and create an account using your paypal address? If you do, it will show your order without you having the order number.

Oops, replied before seeing your update. Glad you found it. Be sure to let us know what you think of your items. We all love living vicariously through others orders!

Thanks for all your replies concerning the shoddy Trident clone and how to adjust the throw of the switch on the Vela. I took apart the switch and it looks like I can't screw in the contact anymore. There is a stopping point on the pin when it screws into the actual switch that you press. It appears I won't be able to screw it in further to shorten the throw.

After vaping with the Vela all day today, I think it does perform better than my Magneto. Both mods hit about the same with a freshly charged battery but with the Magneto when the battery gets to about 3.8v I can really notice a difference in vape quality. By the time it hits 3.7v I have to pop in a new battery. With the Vela, I was just vaping away and thought, hmm I've been vaping a while, wonder what the battery is at. Checked the volts and it was a low 3.6v and I hardly noticed with the vape quality not going down like I am used to. So that's a big plus. I also really enjoy the feel of the mod vs the Magneto. At first I thought I should have gone with a Nemi like everyone else has, but now I'm happy I went with the Vela. It's quite chic.

The whole RBA issue... it's water under the bridge. I'm sure we all know that some clones are hit and miss, even HCigar clones that everyone raves about has had some bad apples. When I placed the order I had spoke with Doris via Skype to sort out a different issue and she was super helpful. Great experience. This faulty RBA will not stop me from making future purchases. $h*t happens, it was $5, big whoop. I almost feel bad asking to have a $5 item replaced, I mean the cost of transportation, fuel, etc. I'd rather just modify it. I'll probably send an email to Doris with pics just as an FYI so they can handle it however they see fit.

Thanks again everyone

and now the bad... The Trident Clone
I own a Trident v2 clone and love it. When I was ordering the Caravela I saw FC's version of the Trident clone for only $4.90 so I said heck ya. It came with the drip tip which was cool. It was probably the dirtiest RDA clone I've bought so far and it has a MAJOR flaw. I hope I just got a bad apple cause if they're all like this, it's unacceptable.
First we'll start with the drilled air holes. They didn't drill any air holes opposite from each other. There would be no way to run dual airflow config unless you drilled it yourself. Some of the holes were drilled very close to the edge too.
But this is where the Trident shat the bed. The top cap is essentially too short. It doesn't even cover the airholes on the outside barrel, more like blocking them. This makes the entire AFC useless.
IMO the only thing to do is cut off the section on the top cap with the airholes so I'm left with the set air hole size on the outside barrel.
Everything else about this Trident clone is great. So if the top cap was made right it would be a winner. Hope everyone else has better luck.

Oh, I got one of those for my first try of RDA, that's sad. Thank you for sharing, now I'm not gona fight with pure thing.

You're an awesome dude! Like you said, I would still shoot Doris an email just to make her aware of the issue with the Trident because some people are not as cool as you, and will have a complete meltdown over it :p.

And I agree my friend, the Vela's are chic mechs .. And my 18350 Vela also hits harder, for longer than my Magneto. :)

One last suggestion for the switch .. with the switch fully assembled, if you fully depress the fire button so that the bottom contact clears the delrin, if you have one, you can place a tiny o ring around the neck of the contact, which will slightly shorten the throw on the switch, which of course would mean the locking ring would have a shorter distance to travel, and may not then expose any threads.

This could work as long as the o ring does not cause the contact to sit too far up past the delrin insulator, and cause your battery to autofire when everything is set up. I have used this method on one of my mechs, and it worked well for me.

Well I couldn't resist that Hammer clone that went up a couple days ago. I've wanted one for awhile but I didn't want to order it from Fasttech (had some issues last fall with them). I think it'll look great with the Kraken.

Nice .. I do hope that your order goes well, the hammer is really cool looking. Post pics when you get it, I am curious to see what it looks like with a Kraken. :)

Sorry if that has already been asked.
I received my vela today. I would say that overall it looks beautiful other than the logo at the bottom of the switch, the shape of it it not well done at all but that's OK, I can leave with that.
My question is that I took the switch apart. I see that there is a small hole in the switch (similar to the Nemesis) but there was no pin. Is there supposed to be a pin there? If not, what's the purpose of the small hole then?

Thanks.

I agree about the C logo on the switch ... many pages back I did a review of the Vela and said the same ... There is no pin that is supposed to go in that hole, that is the vent hole for the battery. If your battery were to ever go into thermal runaway, that hole is how the venting gases would escape so that your mod doesn't explode. :)

Oh OK LOL! Thanks!
One more question, did anyone find a way to shorten the throw? I find it quite long on this mod.

You shorten the throw by screwing the contact pin inside the switch ... fully depress the switch so the contact pin moves upward, and turn the contact pin clockwise until the throw is shorten to your satisfaction. Just make sure that you do not shorten it too much as the contact pin still needs enough length to clear the delrin when the switch is activated, to fire your device.

Thanks, already did that.
I still find it a bit long for my liking and asked in case someone found a "trick" to make it even shorter. I guess I'll leave with it.
This is my first polished mod. How do you keep it clean LOL! I mean it looked beautiful when I took it out of the box but not so much after 5 min LOL!
Seriously though, I'm sure you guys don't polish it with metal polish every single time so what do you clean it with? Just a wet cloth would do?

Was looking at the Vmax 5. I wonder why they didn't just make it for a 18650 battery instead of 2-18350's? Looking into something "similar" to "theitemwecannotmention" (bawahahaha!) because the BF has been eye-ing mine, and hella if I'm going to put out $159-179 on something he will no doubt loose. Maybe if he puts his mind to rebuilding coils and such..........but..........nah...........I'd get him a Vmax and buy another one of "theitemwecannotname" in a mini for myself, LOL!

Vmax has 900mAh, unmentionable has 2000mAh......3-6v vs 2.9-6v, hmm, should stop now while I'm ahead!

I just use a slightly damp paper towel, and that's when I'm refilling or breaking down my atty, do a once over and it's fine. It's probably because I wash my hands alot because of the dust here, and the weather for the most part, is dry. We have a storm front coming in so the humidity is rising, I'll have to really watch to see if that makes a difference.:) Crossing my fingers for SNOW!
