Okay, so i'm thinking of trying out the BF99 Genny. I'm not a genny person but this one has my attention with the way the airflow is setup. Is that white coating on the deck really necessary? The brass positive post looks like it has a derlin tube or black o-ring between it and the deck. I'm wondering if i can just remove whatever that white crap is. As long as the coil legs don't touch the deck it shouldn't short right?

Is it due to the mesh wick rather than the coil legs?

I know it is hard to find good help these days, but maybe Eleven needs to be REPLACED?

With someone who has a little customer service experience.

With the attitude the customer is always right vs. the customer is always human

I think its also a culture difference. The Chinese viewpoint on many things is different than ours.

I have to say I wasn't happy though to be told to wait for the repair kit, and then be told, no, you can't return it because you used it. How was I supposed to determine it was unusable without using it?

I just decided after this to not buy any clone attys until others have gotten one, especially reviewers like Nikki. At least not from a company who won't let me return it if it has major issues I can't fix. I spent too much money and time on that particular clone.

I am hapy with my other FC purchases so far. The Zero has the resistance problem, but that's easy to work around. Set the power according to the actual resistance of the build, and its all good. The Wotofo ZNA is wonderful. The Stingray X is immaculate.

FYI - i received my second rose stumpy kit yesterday and either the packaging changed or they switched to a different manufacturer. This one came in a plain white box. Unfortunately, the plastic tank was cracked and the chimney is too thick to fit through the top cap. Looks like i'll have to send another email to Eleven.

Hmmm .. Sounds like Pallas shenanigans. I haven't seen the recent stumpy's because I only got one from the early batch but, ... I do recall about two weeks ago Doris came on skype with an exploding black face emoji saying that they had just realized that Pallas didn't send their full order with the first batch. The warehouse never counted the box, and they didn't realize that they didn't receive the full order until they sold out and saw that the #'s didn't add up.

So, all this to stay that Pallas may have pulled a fast one and sent them whatever after FC complained about not receiving their full order .. but I am speculating based on what Doris said a few weeks ago, I don't know this for sure. I would contact Doris directly about this one because Eleven is not really involved with the US warehouse and she will probably give you some ridiculous and infuriating response to the situation.

how is it different than the tobeco clone?

It's not :glare: Oh I take that back .. the Tobeco 1:1 is using the Dolphin logo engraving of Footoon's most recent 2nd batch. But the FT version has the shark logo engraving used only on Footoon's first production batch. Which is yet another reason why this authentic/OEM is verifiable non-sense. If the same factory that produced the authentic and is now supplying FT then why are they using the first batch logo that stopped being produced 2000 pcs ago? :glare:

I know, the Chinese factory reset the CNC program specifically to mill a batch of old shark logo, Authentic Aqua's special just for Fasttech! Just like the special triangle box logo. :D Yeah, that sounds right!

The machining (based on the photos) looks a lot better. It has a brass 510 pin instead of copper.

Is it better? I hope so since I paid $10 more for it, but until people can get them and compare them, that's hard to say.

The Tobeco 510 is brass, not copper ... but so is the authentic.

Tracking sys that I will have mine tomorrow, so I will also post photos when I get it.
