OMG how cute is this logo?
Got my
Origen Genesis today. No pics yet, sorry, but I'm gonna work on that this weekend, cuz there are some pretty clever things going on with this atty.
First impression though was not great.
When I first took it apart, I was like "what's up with this thing? Is it plastic?"

The stem and thin deck that screws onto the base, the AFC and the top cap are SS, but the rest of it is the same material as the SqR chimney (anodized aluminum? PTSD kicked in a little bit

), so the bottom "line" of the atty is a matte gray that doesn't match the top part. Meh.
Plus I can't remove the plastic tank insert - if it's threaded, it's on really tight - hopefully it's not glued on.

It would've been nicer if it unscrewed, and if they included the SS insert. It's gonna be a pain to wick this thing, cuz I usually like to play with my genny tails.
The little "nuggets" that cover up unneeded holes are supposed to be anodized as well, but they look pretty raw to me. I guess we'll find out one way or the other if I ever get a short on this thing - spacing's pretty close and it's only attached by one screw, so it can move.
The brass center pin is missing the post hole for the positive legs, so I'll have to rethink the build - maybe do it like that Asian dude on the video, but put the loop on top and use both negative screws for the tails - so yeah, just like the Veritas. The stem is really cool though. There's this second set of rings attached that line up with the 3.5mm holes (meant for mesh, but I'll be using those for rayon) that will stabilize your mandrel as you're installing your coils - no wobbling as you tug on the legs.
So yeah, not quite 1:1. I looked this up on Ali, and I don't know if they're manufacturers, but this appears to be the Kingberry version. The fins are really cool though, and I can't believe how small this thing is. Cute. Looks good with the black SMPL, with the crunchy crunchy switch (it actually makes that crunch sound

), that I also received. But I think it'll look better with the gray Ra V3 that I'm now planning to buy for it, just so the matte gray line on the bottom will make sense. Plus you know, Eye of Horus, Egyptian heiroglyphs, pyramids,...
FYI, the hex size for the post screws is 1.5mm. They give you an Allen key, but you know how that goes. It's a pretzel after awhile.
Oh, and Doris is wonderful. I dunno if the girl is psychic, or of Nikki tells her stuff, or if she reads this thread and takes notes, but she sent me a bunch of freebie parts that I desperately needed - like a magnet for my battery nipple (yay, I can use my Vapelyfe mod now), some RBA screws with small heads, and a handful of extra o-rings. Oh, and a couple of blue screwdrivers!
