I wasn't being testy, I knew what you were saying it's just usually when something ships with USPS you at least can see the tracking is valid...like a label was printed but the item hasn't been received and scanned yet.
My tracking number is totally unknown by the system, this is not normal and I don't see what a holiday has to do with a tracking number being recognized as valid.
Doris said it shipped and I will take her word for it...but I still don't understand why the tracking number isn't at least recognized.
Shipping labels and tracking from China are not the same as shipping labels printed from the US, you do know that right? ... There is no "electronic notification received" in China.
The first status when it appears simply says "Acceptance", which usually shows 2-4 days after shipment by the vendor. There is no electronic confirmation at the time that the label is created, and the tracking # is issued ..
The next status will say "processed through sort facility", then there will be no additional status for approx 5-10 days, until the package hits the United States.
China Postal services work in partnership with USPS, but it is still China Postal systems that you are under until the USPS take official possession of your package which does not happen until it reaches the US ...
Your tracking # is not recognized because it has not been "accepted" by Chinese postal services yet ... which does not mean your package did not ship. It means your package is in a receiving bin, along with 10,000 other packages at China Post waiting for a postal worker to scan your package into their system .. this is norm, there is nothing out of the ordinary happening, aside from a minor delay due to a National Chinese Holiday.
