I think we must invite Doris to this thread . Doris will be so happy we talk everyday about their product lol .
is Doris he or she ? or maybe doris can be he or she hahaha i wish can video chat someday with he/she aka doris :D

Ahahaha .. Doris is a "she", and a very pretty she at that! ;-) It would be nice if she could participate, she has a great personality, but I don't believe that vendors are allowed to post here sadly. :( But you can skype with her though :)

My group buy kayfun is a dud. The block with the post screw is loose and swivels around, and can't get it to recognize a coil.

Is your 510 connection screwed in and tightened all the way? ... This is what keeps the center block in place. If the 510 connection is loosened, it shifts and loosens the entire center block on the deck, all Kayfun's are like this.

Let us know if this is the issue .. If its deeper than that, then take pictures of the deck and email them for a replacement right away.

Not a big fan of how they did my replacement.
sent me a cracked taifun and I emailed them and they hit me with a " your next order we will put a replacement in for you"
Well that's not happening since I threw a fit since my freshly opened taifun tank was cracked I shouldn't have to re order to get in working condition.

They supposedly shipped a replacement and its been dang near a month and still haven't seen it nor does tracking work for the
"Shipped" item.

Just a few short days ago I put in my first order to focalecig, everything went finer than frog hair - quick service, product on its way, it went great. The thing I ordered and wanted was on sale, so I saved a few bucks, quite certain I couldn't have bought it for a better price anywhere else, that and all else was really good.

I completely agree with you, you should not have to place a new order to get a replacement for damaged merchandise .. Please pm me with your order # and paypal email, and I will bypass CS staff, and look into it for you.

Stingray is on sale now. Damn missed the TaiFun.

$18.50 is a great price for the Stainless Stingray, but for whoever orders from this Group buy, I suggest paying for the tracking# upgrade because these SR's are being shipped with no tracking as the standard option.

Just checked it was 4/19 the order was created for replacement so not a month.

I love my Taifun's, so I feel your pain, I would HATE IT if I couldn't use mine ... I am waiting for a full SS replacement tank, and a couple of colored PMMA tanks for my Taifun's. :) I would actually like a third one too.

Well, if you should need any further assistance, don't hesitate to pm me. :)

You need less cotton, open the airflow all the way (take screw out), finally you need to raise the coil up quite a bit.

The juice channels are too deep but we can compensate.

Less cotton helps the juice wick more efficiently.

Open airflow pulls less juice through the channels into the wick.

Raising the coil keeps the juice from being sucked from the wick (siphoned) into the airflow hole.

It would also help if you would run the coil straight over the airhole instead of the 45 degree angle.

Thank you! I will try it this way next build/rewick.
It only leaked one tiny small drop last night so Im making progress. Im not getting as much vapor as I think I should with a 1.5 coil at 11 watts. I like the concept of this a lot so ill keep trying until I perfect it.
Funny thing is, I can rebuild a protank coil and get it right everytime from the very first one I tried!

I am glad to hear that it has improved .. the reduced vapor is probably the result of a very wet wick. So hopefully as you continue to tweak your build for this particular Kayfun, you will be able to work out the right balance for this one. I definitely think the very deep juice channels is what is making this one more of a challenge than it should be.

Still haven't received mine yet though ...

Now is this the Stingray from the last Group Buy?? Its looks good too :2cool: ... I think this is the first customer picture we have seen for the SR with no drip tip.

How is it performing?

What you need to do is take out the small screw in the 510 connection, and above it is the longer screw that screws into the positive block. You need to hold the positive block with some pliers, while you tighten that longer screw. Be careful not to be a gorilla as you tighten as you can smash the plastic insulator below the block. Then you can put your small 510 screw back in.

Hope this Help!!! Good Luck!!! :toast:

No. This took a month to get to me. My first order from Focal was the Turtle. This one actually hits the hardest out of all my mods. I'm digging it but it's polished so fingerprint frenzy. I like the threads. They are smooth. Lock ring, switch and all is very nice.
