That Atom clone is supposed to have 20x1 threading, and so its compatible with other mods of the same threading, and I believe that the Chi You is also 20x1. I like the Atom mod, and I used to go back and forth between it and the Astro .. the Astro won, and it also 23mm (22.8 to be exact).

There are several 23mm mods out there to chose from, so its just a matter of finish and style to decide on. The Nzonic, Chi You, Astro, Atom, King II, EHpro Caravela, and what I call the "FCpro" Caravela skiu 13537, and the Black Turtle Ship V2.

Yes, you can kick the Atom and Chi ... you can also kick the Astro. You should also consider the Nzonic for its 23mm diameter and magnetic switch.

The Vela is a beauty, but you are dead on about the up keep of a mirror polished mod. For me, those are "at home only" mods, and I love them dearly. Actually vaping on my polished Vela in 350 w/Taifun nano kit right now

The 23mm Vela's at FC do not have the same center pin issues as other Vela clones because one comes with three different size 510 pins (350 only Vela), and the other has dual adjusting copper pins.

i do prefer magnetic switches than spring ones. stingrays here and nemesis with magnets (stronger ones are coming). the switch is the vital piece of a mech mod. but found some little things in nzonic discussions that made me reject it. same for the rest, except the fcpro vela (lol), which i didn't consider before reading the opinions here, and the atom. it's not the prettiest one, i know, but it can be enhanced with astro and chi you spares, will find some magnets for it, and i'm not too exigent about aesthetic yet (give me a few weeks more, after watching this thread people's porn... )
anyway, i'll take some more time to decide. i can wear the taifun and the squape in nemmys and stingrays for now. once again, thanks for your info and suggestions. i've ordered a taifun nano kit right now, after reading you (if it doesn't fit my clone, a kfl plastic tank can do the trick, after some adjustments) =))

So, since I'm still waiting on my package to get here, I have a question, what option does everyone use for shipping when it comes to Focal?

i'm a newbie, but already made a dozen of orders to FC. using first and second options (sing post and china post), free ones, no tracking, etc.: wait time after shipping is very reasonable (it uses to last less than 2 weeks to europe, about 50% faster than ft); i used registered mail once or twice (for group buy), and i think that was slower.

If you bothered to read their web site, it says "3 to 7 calendar days from ordering". This is posted on every single item in bold type. There are plenty of satisfied customers as you can see by reading this thread. Sure, the shipping time may be a little longer than FT, but the prices, quality and especially customer service, are better than FT IMO and the opinions of others here on this thread. I buy from both and I buy from FC knowing that the shipping time may be a little longer. Not every item on FT ships next day either.

FC is not as big as FT but they are getting bigger. It will just be a matter of time when FC can afford to ship next day. Rumor has it that FC is opening up a US warehouse (which FT does not have), so that will mean faster shipping times vs the standard 12-15 days. FC Has already opened a European warehouse in Germany. So if you're in Europe, try to look for the items that are in that warehouse for faster shipping.

Well. When you placed the order you should pay attention for there shipping time, a lot of items have 3-7 days shipping from order conformation, and if this time didn't run out you can't really say FC "broke a promise". If you didn't pay attention to this "little" detail, you have only one person to blame. Best luck with your order (not a sarcasm).

I always use Epacket/EUB/EMS, and it is usually very fast for me ... however, I have two packages that have been enroute since 5/7 and they are still not here yet, which is the FIRST that I am experiencing this out of 10 orders or so.

I think its just a fluke, once shipped I usually receive packages in 7-10 days.

Hehe, you're welcome. I think the Atom is an attractive mod, I have several pics of it saved on my puter Don't worry about the Taifun nano, it will fit for sure. I have a Rainbow Heaven and Hcigar Taifun GT and the poly nano's are smooth, easy fits on both.

Really? Most items ship withing 3 to 7 days from ordering, as is CLEARLY indicated on the individual product pages, so there is nothing out of the ordinary happening.

There are some items that ship faster, and that is also listed clearly on the product page as "ships within 24 hours, or 48 hours" however, 3 to 7 days is the norm.

Fasttech also has plenty of items that ship within 3 to 10 days, and they also have next day ship items ... so you are not really saying anything there either. With both vendors, the length of time it takes for an item to ship, depends on what is being ordered.
