Lol. Y'all crack me up. And yes.... was going all man on the thing to get it apart. After I watched a video and all you had to do was pull it apart. Major face palm...make it a double.

When I brought it work they thought I stoled Harry Potters wand.

 Dudes, I tell ya! So I was right ... spontaneous testerone spike is responsible for the "all Man" impulse

Signs of spontaneous testosterone spike:

1. furrowed eyebrow
2. vice grip like hand strength when handling every day objects
3. lack of patience with completing menial tasks
4. increased saliva production
5. pacing for no reason whatsoever
6. the development of "banana pockets" during heavy winds

** Current Group buy **

Wow ... FC is breaking records with 983 sold so far on the Vamo V5 Group buy. There is an update posted, FC may close the Group buy early if the # sold gets too high, and their supplier is unable to fulfill the quantity within the time frame given, which is by June 18th.

There is probably a good reason they put them on group buy... I was literally about to buy a backup one (mine is currently down), but I just discovered that they just released a 20w Vamo, and soon (if not already) they have a 30w Vamo. the 20w vamo is sold on FT here, and I know they have the 30w out or comming out, since I saw this. They're probably depleting their stock of 15w because they know sales are going to drop when the 30w comes available.

for my take, the new versions look munch better. The top cap was one thing that I always disliked about the Vamo series. The bevel didn't look right on all my atomizers, the new one has a flush mount top, which should provide an overall better look. If the tops are interchangeable, I might try ordering just a topcap for the older vamo.

Those might not be a big hit. A lot of Vamo users like the fact that they can use 16350 batteries if they want a shorter mod and the new DNA series Vamo only uses the 18650. Besides, the 20w is $60 compared to the $20 group buy price. You can already get pretty close to 20w with the V5 using 2 18350s. Honestly, when I get a DNA 20 it isn't going to be a foot long tube version. I'll get a Hana clone DNA 30 before a Vamo 30w. A lot of people will want a DNA tube mod but if a shorter one comes on the market it'll kill the Vamo version. I could be wrong though. I'm glad I ordered the $20 Vamo V5. The batteries cost more than the mod!

I gotta agree... the new one is much nicer looking than the old ones. I may try the top cap swap also. Great idea!

Just tried the GP Paps and it doesn't not fit the SR.
No bother :) ... Unfortunately, I believe the GP PAPs is 20x1 threading, and the SR is 20x.5 :( .. Gotta be careful with brass threads ...
Thanks guys! I found someone online that sells the top cap and switch for the Asmart Stingray clone. Went ahead and ordered it hoping it will fit.

Don't know what happened I'm usually careful with threads, haven't managed to kill anything else. Only had the thing a few days and yesterday I thought it was kind of curious that it only took a couple of turns to take off the atty. Upon further inspection I saw the first 3 threads on the 510 connection stripped out. It might have come that way, or it could be the result of an unnoticed spontaneous testosterone spike. Not sure.

Neither the Vamo DNA 20 & 30 have USB charge ports. That's a very important feature. The KSD Rube 20w mod is much shorter and lighter than the Vamo DNA and comes with a charge port. The one on fastech has a built in battery. Hopefully the 30w version will use an 18650. We're about to get a lot of interesting options. :)

 .... Can I ask, do you sub ohm?? The reason I ask this is because brass softens when heated, unlike stainless steel which hardens when heated. The top caps of our mods, and base of our atties heat up considerably while in use .. just a thought.

But then there is that spontaneous testosterone spike  I hope the Asmart top cap fits, so let us know how that turns out.

You can already get pretty close to 20w with the V5 using 2 18350s.

Actually the VAMO can reach 30 watts in VV mode with stacked 18350's...1.2 ohm coil @ 6 volts = 30 watts drawing the full 5 amps of the chip.

I have said it before, the VAMO is quite unique amongst a sea of Chinese APV's.

The only way the new 20 watt model is better is because the flat DC signal, no rattlesnake.

No, I'm an old guy. I usually build around 1.3-1.5, sometimes a little lower, but don't think I've ever gone below 1.0, except when I short something out :)

While it was probably the "spike", in my mind I think I'll blame it on a manufacturing defect. Someone at the factory could have had a "spike" also :D

BTW for the record I'm really jealous of your and Weezy's collections.

That is around where I usually vape also. I guess we will settle on "somebody" having a "spike", but again, I hope the Asmart parts fit ok. Were you able to verify the thread pitch of the Asmart prior to purchase??

Weezy is giving me some serious run for my money, Nikki is gonna have to up her game to stay on top ... I feel so threatened  Don't be jealous, join us :D This is how we all manage our guilt levels, by mutual enabling.

All good. Just wanted to share. That's "the room" I try to get in.

We love sharing .. vapeporn is how we stay motivated to keep sexy :D .. Is "the room" your workshop, or your man cave? One day I would like to have an entire room dedicated to my vape gear and supplies, because right now? Its everywhere

I hope it fits too because I didn't verify anything. The price was right, about $10 with shipping for both caps, so I just went for it. If it doesn't fit I'll try to trade it for something with my local B&M guy.

Can't really afford to compete with you guys. Jealousy is so much cheaper :)

BTW there's a brass tube 350 PAPS at the "other place" for under $12. Enabling is cheap too :D

I know all about that Paps .. cuz I love it. But that is my problem, I am in love with too many things, especially right now  ... You have the makings of a good enabler too
