I like the Morpheus more than the Buffalo .. but then again, I need to see the Buffalo in 350 mode to be sure. Right now the Penny has me in a bad way, that mech is so damn beautiful it hurts me.

Oh yes, the Penny clone will be mine! Got to see a real one at a vape fest, ticks all the boxes: single tube, button switch, copper! The past 30 days have blown my wish list way up...

Ohhhh .. If you get it before me, and you probably will, remember to considerate to those of us with "issues" .. I don't handle my case of Mechalitis that well :p

But seriously, THAT MOD!!! ... Nikki like so much  The one thing that will keep me hesitating is a good atty to match. It has to be something copper, and of the same tone, and a RBA. There is only the rose Kayfun that I know of at the moment, but I need to see customer pics of it.

I really like the King V2 brass too ... but I would prefer that one in brushed Stainless, same for the Cartel.

Naw can't just order yet. I'll give it a few days to see if anything else pops up. Then I can order all at once. :vapor:

I don't have that kind of willpower or discipline. I'd have to cut off all access to the 'net.

I think I am gonna try to deepen the straw tone on the Kraken tomorrow ... I think. Here they are Female, and Male 4nine

mgWHgAQ.jpg

Both look very nice. I have a question about this: Is the "female" and "male" a reference to the 510 center post? I'm eyeing the copper version of the 4Nine that popped up on FEC recently and noted it's threaded 510 on the top portion, but it doesn't have a 510 center pin. So my guess is that the battery makes direct contact with any attached atomizer. I have no experience with such a design. Should I pick up a 510 center pin for this, and where would I find one?

Thanks in advance to whoever can answer this for me!

The 4nine is a hybrid mod, so yes, your atomizer makes direct contact with the battery. And no, you do not purchase a 510 pin for it.

The true difference between male and female aside from SS vs Brass, is the button logo on the authentics, which has a male Maki/monkey and the brass switch, and the female Maki on a stainless steel switch ... As of right now, there aren't any "true female" 4nine's available as a clone, as all of them have the male logo, and do not have a ss top cap and switch material.. So the brass females being sold by FT/FC/Infinite in US are not 1:1 true females.

You can only use an atomizer that has a protruding 510 pin, it cannot be flush with the 510 threads. 2mm long is ideal, 1mm is the minimum, so there are a lot of RDA/RBA's that cannot be used with the 4nine. A flush 510 pin will short, or simply fail to make a connection.

Nipple top batteries are recommended however, there are plenty of vapers using flat tops .. I don't. The 4nine is an advanced user mech, so just make sure that you have the necessary gear, and understanding to use this mech safely ... I like the 4nine a lot, as do many others, but I have already read a few tragic stories of user error on the net when it comes to the 4nine.

There are a few reviews for the authentic on youtube, so I would watch those as well. :)

You are not alone Weez ... I don't have a Nemmy either. I feel like the Stingray is the new Nemmy, and the old Nemmy's are over played, so I doubt I will ever get one, but of course I will never say never. :p

At this stage of the game, you should be more picky about your collection. :)

I was pretty far off with my male/female guess then... lol

Thanks a bunch for the extra detail, I'll look into it some more. I don't own a mod yet on which a patina can be forced and with all the pretty pictures I've seen of them so far, the temptation is strong.

I am looking at FC's copper version like "hello" ... But I think the one on FC has a coating to prevent patina, which I like, and would want .. but you want to create a patina right??

You can use a acetone bath to take the protective coating off.
