Talking of vape porn, as I expected my black FOL arrived today, only took 11 days from order date 
1st the pics, it did not come in a box, so not much protection in travel, but mine had no marks on it.
Black Fire of Life (sku 19566)
The Fire of Life mod looks as good as the pictures on the focal site, the engraving I think is just right, not light, but not to deep either. The red flames I think are the right color, the red is not too bright, but a nice deep red. I like the cut outs on the locking ring and top cap, makes it easy to unscrew/screw top cap and locking ring. The fire switch is really smooth and has a short throw on it.
There is a big voltage drop with the mod being black and the threads being coated, really wish these mod makers would stop coating the threads on the mods, but I knew this when ordering the mod and was already prepared for this. After running copper tape the length of the tube and adding nolax on the threads to top and bottom cap, it decreased the voltage drop a lot.
Due to the coated threads and no box, the Fire of Life gets a 6/10, if it wasn't for them 2 things, it would of scored a 8, but still happy I got the mod though

I really like the look of both the Tree of Life and the Ember. Element mod, or whatever exactly they call the company designs some very nice mods. I'm not a big fan of gaudy mods with lots of bling, but I thought that both variations that focalecig looked nice. I was torn between the polished stainless steel and black painted. Now that I've heard about both think I'll save towards the black.

The red on black does look really good, but as I posted, there is high voltage drop because of coated threads, but easy to fix with copper tape and nolax

I am on a "one per week" schedule with my reviews, and they will post every Monday, next up is the Fire of Life Mod, then my Ivogo Mini, then the SR X .. but because the SR X is so hot right now, and folks want to know more about it, I may push that one up sooner.
I just checked my FC account and the SR X has shipped, as I suspect it has for everyone who bought them today, which is excellent! It took me a good two months of poking, and prodding my dear friend Doris, in order to get her to make this move. I told her that if she chose the right product, from the right manufacturer, that she wouldn't regret it. ;-)

That is why I told you guys about it as soon as Doris told me that she finally ordered them, because I wanted my ECF peeps to get first dabs at it. I am very certain that they will be restocking asap, and judging from the first round, I am guessing it will take another 5-7 days to restock it? Not sure if they will relist it now, pending restocking, or just wait for the next batch to hit GA? But as usual, I will be all up on skype demanding answers from Doris tonight, so I will let you guys know.
I know you guys were expressing dislike for patina on copper mods so it prompted me to show you my cartel clone that I forced a patina on, then put three coats of clear on it. I left the other two tubes alone. This mod hits hard I love it but don't use it much. It is kind of hefty. For now it looks pretty sitting on my shelf doing its thing until I decide it needs to move on to someone else
On the other hand I am not a fan of natural patina....I don't care for the smell it gives my hands. So this seems to work.

... I need to get some clear coat spray, where did you get yours?? I want the copper Penny mod, but I don't want any patina, so I need to protect that baby! The Chi was my 2nd mech I got, love the looks of it, but doesn't get much love now a days, my black mods took over and it does cause my metal allergy if use it to long, also nothing sits flush on it, which is a bit frustrating.

I have watched two or three reviews for the SXK SR X, and all were very favorable .. one of the reviews was from a vendor, so that one can't be relied on too much, but Vaping Shozza's review was really good, and it made my 10x more excited about it.
But SXK had me from the first moment I saw the pics of it on Infinite's FB page two months ago ... I just know it will be good ... ok, I HOPE it will be good, otherwise I will have to answer to all of you!
Oh man! I was going to pm you to see if you got yours yet It looks very good, but I knew it would after receiving mine ... I am actually working on the photos for my review, and I have to say that my appreciation for this mod has grown a bit since I first got it.
You know that I was thrown off by the light feeling switch and top cap at first, but I guess it was my own assumptions that threw me off. The things that I love the most about it are the very short throw on the switch, and I am now in love with this top cap, because I like how they designed the air flow channels, with the tiny holes on the outer cap, that connect to the air channels on the top cap. They line up perfectly with my Squape's air flow channels, so that is where the love started to happen.
Oh, but I was giving my package the side eye when it showed up without a box, and just the inserts I thought it was a mistake at first, because I have never received anything shipped like this before ... and I do have some scuff marks from the transit on mine, but after my review I am brush finishing this baby, so those little scuffs are no biggie.
I can honestly say that I like it much more today, then I did on the day that I received it.

Actually had trouble finding a drip tip that went well on it, I found the one that came with it, to narrow air hole, but found this one in my stash, it was a hybrid drip tip, took the bottom black part off, and like how short it is, as the taifun is a long topper.
I think the FOL looks awesome in silver or black, your red seems brighter, but could just be the light of your pic. I love the switch, it is really smooth, has a short throw, and like the cut outs on the locking ring, makes it easier to use, that is one of the problems I have with the turtle ship, because the locking ring is smooth, it is hard to lock/unlock sometimes.
I forgot about the top air channels till I just read your post, as mine is black, you can't see the holes at all, I had to take the taifun and top cap off to see them, very nicely done.
Also like the adjustable screws for the post and battery connection are not to loose, had to use locite on a few mods because screws move to easy, but no problems with the FOL.
I've just realized, I have no hardware vapemail coming, now what will I do with my extra time, now I'm not checking tracking every 15 minutes, come on black magma, did I say I wanted a black magma on FC?

That drip tip is sexy Nailz, its like my fatboy DT, but with a wider bore ... Yeah, I am actually relieved to have warmed up to the FOL, and I really do like it now. My Squape vapes great with it too! And I agree about the adjustable positive pins too, the dual contacts on my Chi are very loosey goosey, but these are nice and firm.
I have been keeping an eye out for what Weezy said about his TOL switch coming loose all the time, but my switch has not budged at all in the three days that I am using it. The throw is definitely a winner, and I wish my vela's were naturally this short without modding.

Thanks! I don't think I am going to keep it though, just have not decided. I used rustoleum clear coat enamel. Worked awesome. You can also bake it on but I was not real sure about that one so I just let it dry and no issues what so ever so far.
