Only just got up, but went straight to the mail box and the Manhattan was waiting got me, straight away unpacked it and got a battery in it
It is not matte, the same as Art's, but I am with him, I do still like the finish on it though, it is not a finger magnet, which is one of the things that concerned me not being matte.
It did come with 3 pins, 2 extra 510 pins and a extra battery pin. As said, I did just unpack and put a battery in it, so not took apart switch and cleaned yet, but the switch is working good straight away, has a little crunch to it at times, but nothing bad and probably a clean will easily remedy. As already reported, it has a long throw, but it is not hard to fire at all, easier than I expected.

Could you tell that my inquires were becoming increasingly more intense? Well I am glad that you like it, but a little annoyed that Acerig seemed to have pulled a switch a roo on FC. My theory is that because they were late with fulfilling the order, and it was the black that was holding up the order, that they threw in the shiny one's because they didn't have the matte ready for shipping. Doris told me that she had threatened them with cancelling the order, so I fairly certain that my theory is accurate. But at least you and Art like them, and it is clear that the black shiny finished one's do come with 5 pins total, 2 for the switch and 3 fire pins ... you guys lucked out in a sense, as you received more than what was anticipated. I don't like calling it shiny because it doesn't look shiny to me, it looks like leather, whereas the matte looks like suede.
That is what my mom said about San Fran, but I didn't necessarily trust her opinion

The technical fixes in design sounded good to me. At first it sounded too like it could be tweaked to look more attractive (with all the KF addons), but not really, at least not this version. Plus this one's sounding a little wonky.
Nope some people actually have theirs now, and complaining. I like the technical design of it (how it was designed to work), but it looks like a bloated fat chick to me...and THAT, dear Nikki, is YOUR FAULT!

Yes it is not a high gloss finish, more like a satin, and as said, is not a finger magnet. But they should update them pictures, I don't mind the finish, but some could be upset it is not the finish that is posted.
I love how simple this mod is, I did take it apart to clean the switch, and it is so simple in there, I've had switch problems on other mods, but not this one, just base, magnet and battery pin, only thing is, don't get that magnet the wrong way round, is a PITA to get back out again
Now I have cleaned the switch, got no chunchy at all now. One of my concerns was how hard it would be to fire with how strong the magnets are, but it is not as hard as I thought it would be, still using my pinky to fire.
Only complaint I have, my topper doesn't sit completely flush, checked the other pins that came with it, and I am using the shortest pin, and still have a 1mm gap, nothing major but I don't like gaps, but with how good this thing hits, I can live with the little gap

Well my Stingray X & Kayfun touched down in NY today (ordered 11th), so I "Might" have them by the end of the week, depending on customs and the usps. Normally 5 more days from NY to me in Florida, Don't know why, but it is, so should get them Saturday.

Burnie my darling, some switches come fairly clean, and some arrive filthy, so you may want to take that baby apart and clean her good before you use it. There is a rice pin in the switch that is easy to loose if you are not careful, so heads up. ;-) You will also want to clean the switch periodically anyway, my switch started feeling crunchy, but a good cleaning cleared that right up. The Patina on my Copper Manhattan is looking evil right now!

Oh no this isn't for work, it does have a strong switch, but don't think I would trust it not firing when tucked in my e-cig hostler, this was never intended for my work mod, I have the Paragon coming, which is meant to be my work mod, if it works out right
