I wish I knew what he was saying when he was making those monster faces towards the end.
Are there grooves for the o-rings on the inside of the tank? Was that what he was feeling for? He has nice tools!

Someone posted in the SQR clone thread that both units he received from FC this week leak like a sieve.

That is a builder issue. I have the squape V1, and I have the Squape R on order from fasttech. Fasttech WILL take 6-8 days for them to get it before they ship, so expect extended delays. The Squape V1 was all about how it was built. The denser the cotton, the less it will wick. It all depends on how it's wicking. If he used a higher PG based juice with a thin wick, it will leak like a siev. I believe that was just a user error.

I like to wick it a bit thicker than usual.. enough to cause a dry hit occasionally. If it needs to be rewetted, just block the air intake and do a slight inhale.. it will draw more juice into the wick. I do that with the Kayfuns, and I have no leaking issues.

The Orchid V4 that FC put up this morning is looking pretty sweet!!!!

Nikki, you know anything about this device? i.e. larger airflow??? And, any plans on convincing Doris to get this beauty over to the US warehouse???

I want that Orchid v4, but also want the erlkonigin, and that is meant to be coming, so holding off ordering, but if the erlkonigin drops in the next few days, then going to get both at the same time :D

Saw Nikki already answered, but it is basically a Orchid with more juice capacity and also has screw driver deck screws, better than the align key screws IMO.

Well, I wouldn't call mine a POS, but I did loose an entire tank of juice from leaking through the window  And it was German Chocolate Beefcake and I was not happy either ... I hope it is a easy as a missing oring on the tank section as I have read some others complain about. My positive and negative posts were also a PITA .. this was the most aggravating first build I have ever done.

I will try to remove the tank later and see if a missing oring had anything to do with the leaking ... but I really have no time for this ish, I really don't  Nailz had no problems with his though. *shrugs*

Mine did leak for the 1st time last night, but it was from the airflow hole, guessing it was my build, as vaped on it during the evening, and had no problems, then when got up this morning had juice running down the hana, cleaned it up and still had juice in the tank, so started to vape, and got burnt hit within 3 drags, but this is the 1st time had any problems with it, and had no leaking issue from the tank itself.

Did you place the coil in the channel or above the deck?

On the V1 I once built the coil inside the channel. When I used it, everything was ok for a copple of days and then I got dry hits - new cotton, new start. When I didn`t use the V1, it started to leak after a day. With a coil above the channel, I don`t have these issues.

You were using rayon, right? After awhile sometimes it settles/compresses and you end up with too little wick (sounds like what you got). Also, I like to build my coils the same diameter as the juice channels/slots, just so the wick ends up being the perfect thickness for the slots (just thin the tails down a little bit and make them wispy). I think you were using the wide deck with a micro coil, right? :2c:

It turned into a giant PITA and wouldn't attach because it was so big so I pulled it up on my dropbox and sent it with the google cloud thing. If that doesn't work I'm done. Let me build attys instead, okay? You know how some people have mental blocks on one hated thing? Video's are my "thing". :vapor:

Has anyone tried Fat Daddy's vape donuts? I have some on order and I'm kind of excited about them.

I believe that sending via dropbox is fine :) ... never tried the vape donuts but I did watch a couple of youtube reviews when they first came out.

No I use japanese cotton, and was using the 'w' deck till last night, I tried out the 'c' deck, going to try and re-wick again tonight, and if same thing happens, then will go back to the 'w' deck, not going to bother tonight, as will have to re-coil to change decks, guess I should of stayed with what was working, but wanted to try out the different decks, I need to leave things alone that work already

Could you notice where it started to leak? I guess from the upper o-ring - maybe because they didn`t push the pmma not over the upper o-ring. I`ve seen a german review on YT and this guy had the same issue. He put some liquid from the outside through the windows to the upper o-ring. With a finger inside the tank he slowly + slightly pressed the pmma into position, while he was turning the SS tank.

You will not understand this guy, but at about 7:00 he shows how he did it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJfHCFEUOTQ

Btw: he had a glass version

Thanks for that Rudi, I will try it when I get a chance .. It appears to be leaking from both the top and bottom of the tank, so I will give that fix a try. Other than that and the pos/neg post that I couldn't get to stay in place at first (took pliers to tighten), the build quality is otherwise good. I like that the AFC ring moves easily, and I also like that the adjustable 510 is not loosey-goosey.

I did vape it for a little bit before all the juice leaked out and ran down my ZNA and stained my sofa  The flavor is good, but I wouldn't say that its better than the Rose. I agree with Nailz that the third largest air flow setting is plenty, which I think is listed as 1.8mm but feels larger IMO.

I will eventually get back to it  A vendor is sending me the Cloupor T6 26650 100W for review, so that perked me up a little :D Its kinda .. not so polished looking, but it supposed to have wireless charging (inductive charging), and 26650 for a 100W is a no brainer. They offered me the T8 150W but its on pre-order, and the T6 is in stock now and I have a brand new 26650 MNKE that is not seeing much use so I picked that one .. aside from testing for true 100W capabilities I will NEVER be vaping over 25W.

I had forgot to mention till you posted, but yes I've had problems with them posts too, when you unscrew the coil, the post comes out too, then have to remove deck to get back in, not a major pain, but also the base will spin if them posts are out, so have to make sure to line it back up, and one post is longer than the other, as I found out when I put them in wrong

I had a lot of trouble catching my wire for the positive post which surprised me because the screws are so chunky and made like the authentic. I was using twisted 30gauge but I have never had a problem catching the leads on any atty ... this build took me about an hour between the leads that wouldn't catch and the positive post that came unscrewing with the screw .. I am still exhausted from it. :p

Sounds like you was doing a lot of screwing

On my 24 gauge build, had no problems screwing the coil on, I like the deck screws, just wish the posts didn't unscrew too ;)
