I've been afraid to try a Gennie build.

The kayfun type build is very easy for me. I like my kayfun, Lemo and taifun. I would like Chuckie (squapeR) if he behaves. He just went 6 days and lulled me into a false sense of security, then tried to blow me up again last night :(

Love the Rose, but she's time consuming. Just got a second one from a friend who decided she didn't want to try to build it. I did a dual coil in that one today. Haven't tried it yet though as I have attys sharing mods as it is. I'm expecting my ipv back tomorrow, and will try it then (Jwraps had it to make wraps and cup holders for it in exchange for free wraps for me).

Just did my first dual coil dripper build a few days ago.

What else would you guys/gals recommend? I've been eyeing the Fogger4. Is Yiloong the authentic maker?

All my SXK clones are excellent, so if they become involved in the Zero, I will consider it. But, yeah I don't even have a $200 authentic mod:D

Yes, Yiloong is the maker for the Fogger and the V4 is a really nice piece of equipment.

I'd suggest the "old" Fogger V4.1 over the just released V5 of the Fogger. They're going to be making a few changes and still call it V5 which will make it even more confusing. The V4 (any variant actually) is a bit tricky to build, especially if you've not done dual coils, but not horrible. The bottom fill via screw on bottom works just like a Kayfun lite. The V5 went to a spring loaded post design that seems to pretty much not really work although they do provide a pair of screws to replace the spring loaded posts so that's fixable without any issues. The top fill, while a great idea, doesn't work well as implemented. The V5, rev 1, is supposed to get bigger holes but they've not actually made that revision yet. Its also supposed to get larger airflow holes.

Edit: Another topic. Do any of the Erl (couldn't spell out the entire name if my life depended on it) take a normal drip tip? Those fixed black plastic ones have me holding back from trying one so far.

I like the price of DIYing, but I guess I'm not that good at it, not mixed very good juice, and the time it takes too, to much time for too little reward for me, I will still do a little bit of DIY here and there, but can get a lot of pre-made juice very cheap, especially on holiday sales, might not be premuim, but still better than I can make :p

I might give Dr.J a try, just wary in case I like it to much :)

I wonder what you are doing wrong?? I always say that if you can cook, then you can mix juice :) I am also too lazy these days to mix, although I did a bunch a week ago, its the same stuff that I have been vaping .. I think bringing my Rose back to life will help :p

I pre-dilute my base in 750ml batches. I keep my 50/50 4mg all set to go in an old chianti bottle that I store in the freezer. Then I keep a 4oz bottle of it with my flavors. So when I mix, I just measure out the flavors straight into a needle bottle and top off with base. I don't even use syringes anymore. I just keep my flavors real simple and use those old carto condom thingies as measuring cups (the ones I have are exactly 1ml).

I used to use the carto condoms to mix :D Now that is a blast from the past :p

Here is some vape porn that didn't make the final cut, but it was nice enough that I didn't want it to be totally rejected

I will call it "ode to Autumn vapes"

I have been trying DIY and I might as well smoke a dog turd!!!!!

Yea it isn't as easy as some people make out, think it takes a lot of time and patience to make some good juice, or I'm just very picky, oh hang on, I am picky :laugh"
I'm right there with you. Bought the base and flavorings, even some syringes and stuff, failed miserably. I like complex tobacco flavors and creamy custardy stuff, never got one right. Have about a dozen bottles of stuff I mixed sitting in the refrigerator in case of extreme emergency.

what kind of flavorings did you get and was there a method to your madness when you bought them?
just curious because there is a 100 drop test to try a recipe out and it makes about 2.5ml of juice so the waste is very minimal if its not good. just my :2c:

The manufacturer sells a threaded adapter that lets you use any drip tip with the erlkoenigen. FT sells one clone that comes with an adapter: $15.75 Erlkonigin Style Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (8ml) - stainless steel + PMMA tank / 20.7mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Hope this helps.

Only problem is, I read at the other place that they clearcoated the hell out of the copper parts, including the threads and (ugh, copper-coated brass) pins. I'd want to keep the tube clearcoated, but how would I remove it from the parts that shouldn't be clearcoated? I'm thinking Q-Tips and...Acetone? Lacquer thinner? Paint thinner? I'm thinking some kind of solvent, because knowing me and my OCD, I probably shouldn't be sanding copper threads and plated pins. Other than that, they say that the machining is really good on this one, especially once all the clearcoat is removed.

You can use a rag dipped in lacquer paint thinner or acetone and just rub it off. Won't take more than a few minutes. Laq thinner won't dry as fast which allows you to work with it longer (like in the threads), its also less harsh. But both will work. You can also submerge the parts for a minute or so, wipe dry and repeat until happy, then polish.

I got several tobacco flavors mostly from FlavourArt, then some vanilla, caramel, creme, sweetener and a couple of things I can't remember. I was trying to get to a smooth tobacco base with a hint of something creamy and a light touch of sweetness. What came out was either nasty tobacco-ish or sweet candy.

If I would have hung in there and done it one flavor at a time until I got each one right, then started blending them together at the end I might have had a chance. The problem with that approach is that I found all the tobaccos and some of the others needed steeping. Enter the myriad of possible combinations and my total lack of patience and to the back of the refrigerator they went.

Thanks. Saw this on a thread over there: http://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...rlkonigin-atomiser-Erlkonigin_1901961651.html

Now that's the version Focalecig should carry.

SqR clone finally showed up after 31 days... and it's a POS. I've already emailed Doris to get the "parts kit". The 510 pin is definitely too short. Haven't gone much farther than that yet. I probably won't mess with it at all until I get the new pin.

edit: should I be emailing service@focalecig.com rather than sales@focalecig.com for this?

I'm getting a little disgusted with how long it's taking to get my order as well.
