I've finally found the build that seems to work, thanks to you, AMDTrucking! The 'stuff it in the chimney' method. No worries about putting anything in the channels - wicks fine. I have learned, though, that there is such a thing as too much rayon, which will eventually choke the coil (although it may take a day to do this).

Oh, and I learned another thing - when I start to get dry hits, it's because I vaped the thing dry....LOL

Why oh why didn't they put in a top-fill screwhole, though? Is there a reason they thought a bottom-fill would be better?

I appreciate the "shout out" and my offer on installing the top fill holes still stands.

So I've figured out that using a 1/16th drill bit to wrap the coils on this thing is a huge help since the diameter matches the juice wells (coil diameter and juice well diameter is the same). I can't remember where I read to try that, but I picked the tip up from someone else. Still, the viscosity of the juice makes a big difference. I still don't fully stuff the juice wells though, but I do use about half the wick. With thicker juice, you don't need to have much (if any) wick in the channel. With thinner juice, you do or it will leak. In any case, I am now happy with the performance though filling is a pain.

How are you guys filling this thing? I'm either flooding juice down the mouth piece or it's coming back out the fill hole.

Damn so it's not as easy and bulletproof as the Kayfun doh!! I hope this thing isn't a huge pain in my azz to get to work right

It's just as easy but it's got 2 coils to deal with rather than one, doesn't mean it's harder you just have to use your brain.

Just a quick comment that I love the Fogger clone I have, just rebuilt it last night. Very forgiving on coil builds and really pumps out the vape. Trying very hard not to order another one. The Aqua is another good one, both easy to build and the vape is fantastic!!

Be proud, the Fogger you have is not a clone. It is an original brilliant design of genius Chinese engineers of YiLoong company. LOL I'm being sarcastic. But, on the other hand, there is a Youde Technology (UD) and they make very good original product.

Ahem....some of us had to rebuild it/rewick it a couple of dozen times to get it working properly. Yeah, yeah, I know - it's because I'm a girl:D

Caged, yes, it leaks out the mouthpiece and airholes when filled (even with the airhole closed). I stuff a piece of paper towel in the top when I fill it. Sometimes with a new wick I'll just fill it up at the top of the glass before putting the whole thing together.

Amanda, is your Fogger 4.3 black or silver?

This is the build you are talking about. It works, but I didn't like it. Not enough vapor production.

Yes, but I'm getting pretty good vapor production. I might not have the wells stuffed as much though (had to do to many primer puffs to make it work so I stuff them about half way). I am also using 100% VG juice (thinned with distilled water and saline) which probably helps.

Did you have pictures I missed of the build you like?

I think it's just an ease of manufacturing decision. The base must be drilled for the center of the 510 connector to pass through so while the base is already in a vise or whatever they use to hold it in place while drilling the center hole they just drill another one for filling it. So they have a way to fill it and it's visibly hidden once you put the atomizer on a mod so the mod looks cleaner, less stuff sticking out.

Actually the Fogger is an original design from YiLoong. They also make a mod, don't even remember what it is, mechanical or vv or anything about it. But they do have a very few original designs. Perhaps unique instead of original since you can see they drew elements from the Kayfun and Aqua.

You are right, unique is the better word to describe it. I wasn't sure I could spell it right, being from Ukraine, I'm the worst speller.

Tell me this: Who makes those silicon O-rings for Fogger? Those are the worst I've ever seen.

Yes you've missed it, here it is again:

Only, thanks to AmandaD, I now use Rayon instead of cotton

They are rather awful, aren't they? I've been looking for a good source of food grade silicone o-rings and haven't found one yet. I found a good general o-ring shop on the Web and they have the better heat resistant material. It's in my notes at the real computer. I'll have to make a note and keep it on my tablet, this is the third time in about a week I wanted to pass along the link :(

I can't wait to try the rayon. It will be the 27th b4 I get back home, but I shall be grabbing some then.

I have the 4.2ish brass screw and threaded afc ring. I have no issues with the afc or filling (I like a bottom fill screw). I set mine up like a kayfun, wick it, stand wicks up put on lower chimney section, cut to top of chimney, lightly stuff wick ends to the juice channels. 5/64 bit 12 wraps with 28awg = 0.87 ohms. Just finished setting mine up again. Loving this thing.
