im using rayon and when the chimney goes on i take a thin dental pick and spread the wick away from the juice channels.
to be honest, i dont think i would have tried this with cotton.

So your wick is not laying over top the juice channel at all?

Nobody is.. i just like it that way. But even at 15-20 i have the same issue, just a few seconds more.

You can't force the issue...on a mechanical device a 0.8ohm coil would vape at around 20watts that is with a great set up and accounting for voltage drop. I have a similar set up to yours and it works fantastic at 20 watts but at 30 watts I will start getting dry hits regularly. Were you running the same set up at 30 watts on another atomizer?

Anyway, if your still getting dry hits at 20 watts try some of the suggestions given. I myself set it up where very little cotton goes into the vertical channels while most of the cottons stay above the channels....I never get dry hits and never get leaking problems.

correct......
after chimney goes on, but before cap.....i move all rayon away from the openings of juice channels
i want as much juice to get to more area of wick as i can. dont want anything slowing it down.
if you put it on top of or some into channels, the juice has to travel through small amounts of wick to get to where you really want it

I have got a fogger coming from focalecig, but decided I didn't want to wait for it, and wanted to try the newest fogger, so ordered the 4.1 (4.4) from ebay, and turned up today, done micro coils coming out at 0.5ohms, I wicked it by cutting the cotton pretty much level with the chimney and then gently pushed down on the deck, the coils was not the prettiest, got to get use to wrapping around the screws.

Got to say it is vaping like a champ right now, not getting any dry hits or leaking, every few hits I see a little bubble come up from the deck, so seems to wicking good, flavor is really good and tons of vape.

Currently enjoying Virginia Flue Cured in the BIG fogger on a 26650 SX300 Pioneer4you and Dunhill in the V4+ on a lil old EVIC supreme. Just got the parts to make a 26650 SX350 box mod, well go good with the new BIG fogger :D.

Do you use that rayon straight out of the box or do you boil it/wash it first? No problems with cotton but like to experiment and ordered a box from Sallys!

Love the kitty pic bsop when I first saw it I thought hey those look like my kitties!

In other news, my oldest fogger (4.2) has officially started to rust after an overnight isopropyl soak.

No noticeable rust anywhere on the atty, EXCEPT for the area that is hidden under the o ring within the top cap. Not too pleased

Unless it was rusting with Juice in it, I wouldn't be too concerned. Anything will oxidize if it's exposed to the right chemical. The question is, will it oxidize when exposed to Juice?

From what the people in the know have to say, boiling isn't needed.

    Hi!
'm a long time lurker, first time poster! I Have a Fogger V4.3 and a Big Fogger. To me the design and performance of the Foggers is the best out there! I just wish they had more quality in manufacturing! All the threads are crunchy and loose making them easy to cross thread (ask me how I know) also they use some kind of stainless alloy (supposed to be SAE 304) that is weaker and tarnish/corrodes that the stainless used by EHPro or Tobeco! When I soaked my new Foggers in Isopropyl overnight, it stained/corroded them and Iv'e not had that problem wit any other manufacturers tanks!
I've got a V4.4 coming from Frog in Fog, I certainly won't let it sit in isopropyl overnight! By the way, my experience with Frog in Fog has been good, Great customer service and the shipping is much faster than Fast Tech!
