Yes, I've seen the Tap, LOL

Only back in USSR we had #1 Tap that shaves less metal and makes primer threads. #2 Tap (sometimes even #3) that finalizes the Full threading. And if we threaded into a dead end hole - we would just run #2 as far as it goes and then grind the Tap 1/3 of it off and finish the job. I guess technology went a long way since then...
Sorry but I've learned that assuming folks know anything about what they're asking about can be dangerous here. Saw a thread where a first time mechanical mod user couldn't get his Nemesis to fire his TrustFire battery on a sub ohm coil made for him at the store where he bought the setup.

They've had all 3 styles here in the US since the days of handmade gunsmith produced powder firing rifles which is where I learned about the different types. Not that I've got anything like the skill of those craftsmen but I find the "how did they do that" information fascinating.

No offends taken. :)
I thought you saw my other posts about all modifications that I've done to various devices.

-Tappered taps, or hand taps, as they are sometimes called, have a gradual taper that decreases the chip-per-tooth ratio making them easier to use by hand. They tend to guide themselves perfectly straight in the hole. (I've only used one of these one time in life)
-Plug taps are general purpose taps like you'd find at Home Depot, and by far the most used taps of all time.
-Bottom taps are just that, for tapping all the way to the bottom of a hole AFTER you use a Plug tap. And yes, it's still common to grind the taper off of a plug tap to do the same job. A store bought Bottom tap is much safer if you're working on an expensive piece of metal.
-Thread forming taps are for soft metals like copper, brass, aluminum etc. They have their own tap-drill size, which is some sort of ratio that I never remember (I've only used them a few times for specific high production jobs)

Could you help me with a different question:

Why don't I see my profile picture in my posts?

Not gonna lie I had a hell of a time getting my fogger big deck to wick right without dry hits... almost threw it in the trash then finally figured it out and haven't had a problem since

now the only downside is that this baby burns through juice twice as fast as my Kayfun but hey its nice

That was the most informative, complete and comprehensive information I have ever received :toast:

You rock!

Thank you.

I just built it, tested it and wet the wicks, my mod read it at 0.6 ohms. Put the tank together and filled it up, now my mod reads it at 1.2 ohms and even the vapor is good, there's no flavor. Is it a wicking or coil problem do you think?

What happens when you back power down and tighten AFC ?

This 28.5mm ToBeCo Big Fun story is coming to the end.
I enlarged those channels even more. Only this time I put a 4mm thick nut M12 - 0.75mm to where the chimney goes and drilled the channels with 2.0 mm drill bit, then smoothed the ages with the Dremel.
Looks like it's a winner this time because I see huge air bubbles coming up after each draw I take and that is a good sign :)
The question is: Will it start leaking later on? So far it hasn't, but you never know...

Is Drillco a good brand of Taps, Dies and Drill Bits?
They are in Louisiana and say that all their Taps are made out of High Speed Steel, not High Carbon like the others.
Thank you.

Which is the most desirable version of the fogger and why? I recently got a 4.3 (I think), bigger deck area, with the little slot area for filling making it hard if not impossible to fill with a syringe, and the thin vertical juice channels. So far not bad, I'm not as in love with mine as I've seens others are with theirs..... But there are so many variants of the 4.x right now, honestly I'm a little lost and confused as to which is which and what is the one you want to buy.

Any advice?
