So there I was looking through my drill bits realizing I was missing the 1/8th and 7/64th bits :/ Decided nothing ventured nothing gained right? So I grabbed my 9/64ths and 3/32nds and went to work on the Fogger v 4.0!

To ensure I did nothing different to it besides the holes, I removed the coils intact, and installed the same coils back into it that I had on before I drilled it. Wicked it the same way as always and used the same juice and drip tip. Only change was the drilling (and a preliminary sanding as I decide on a new finish).

Enough words here are some pics!!

Gota do this safe New 1st time charged VTC 5s:

My coils the same exact resistance as before:

Like a cave in the side, the new intake holes (9/64ths chamfered on the outside) !!!!!!!!!
4.jpg

The new deck holes 3/32nd (+ a touch from wiggling the drill once through, then chamfered on the deck edge) Actually the 3/32nd bit is perfect, any larger and you run out of space for the hole before it runs into the post block in the center of the deck:

All done, clearly, the 1/8th was the "right" bit to avoid any masking of the holes, but the disparity from outer hole to deck hole should eliminate this as a restriction....lulz:

Have not made the video I intended yet, but leme say this:
I have drilled out double 1/8th IGO W5 with a .28 double coil in it. The Fv4 at LEAST keeps up, if not blows bigger clouds. Currently I am restricted because I don't have any 0 nic juice to play with so I rape my throat going for stupid big clouds. It is going to shock some people luuuulz. Wicking... yep, keeps up just fine, no dry hits, no flooding wewt!

0.5 ohm build is in order me thinks!

@Claviger....hey that's pretty good. Did you try to first make both the deck holes and the airholes 3/32 before drilling out the airholes to 9/64? Usually I find that whichever hole is the smaller one, that is in effect the airflow you are getting. For example in your case your smaller holes are the deck holes at 3/32.... so that is the airflow you are getting.

Both Fogger v4's working well now

That black one looks sweet on the Stingray, exactly what I was hoping. Mine still has not arrived, but I got my black Tobeco KFL+ on my Stingray until my Fogger comes in. T

The RTA I like best will permanently live on the Stingray, and the 2nd best will go on my Nemesis clone with black anodized tube with a hybrid adapter.

So I got my Fogger's a few days ago I put a .8 build in it and have to say so far it Rocks! Better than average flavour and vapour production
and a good price You really can't go wrong with the Fogger V4 IMO :)
If you screw the base all the way down the Air flow ring basically covers most of the Air holes But I find if you leave it a bit loose and tighten the Air flow ring against it you can get a good Air flow exposing most of the Air holes :)

My original intent was 9/64ths all around but the deck wouldn't take them well otherwise yes I would have done them the same size.

@player one No rusting at all I soak it to clean it and nothing so its all SS.

I know this differs from person to person but how long does your full tank on a Foggerv4 last you on around .5 ohms?

For me, it depends on if I am chain-vaping or not. On a work day, I can make it the whole day, and generally refill before bed. On the weekend, generally fill up half-way through the day.

I got mine the other day. I immediately disassembled it and gave it a bath in Isopropyl Alc for 24 hours. When I fished it out, there were metal filings sitting in the bottom of the dish, so good job I left it to bathe. I chucked a couple of 1.8ohm microcoils in there, put just enough cotton in and trimmed the ends into a wedge shape so they would sit nicely in the ducts. I soaked that cotton with eliquid and pushed the ends into the ducts. I only went halfway down the ducts, filled her up, opened the AFC fully open, slung it on my mech and took a big old lung hit. The resulting cloud was impressive!

It's not a thick creamy vape though. It seems thin and dissipates quickly. My Taifun GT vapes better, IMO. Anyway considering what I paid for the Fogger it's all good. It sure hits hard at .9 ohms anyway. I was nic high after 6 pulls. Flavour is really good and that's what counts for me. Considering the very warm vape I get off the Fogger, it doesn't seem to get overly hot.

It keeps up with me chain vaping. No dry hits. No gurgling, no flooding. It is a thirsty beast though, it drank the first tank extremely quickly, and 10ml had gone before I knew it. That night I had to wash the thing out, rewick it and refill with a different flavour. It only took a couple of minutes. I think I like it!

Wish they kept the airflow controls like the version Matt had in his Suck My Mod video review. It looks tighter, like my Rose v2. The version I received is very loosely threaded and really only works fully closed or fully open (and even then, it still covers half of both the air holes). Will see how she vapes tonight after I take her out of her vodka bath :)

Yeah I agree, I like the "wide open" style and with the non threaded version you could also just leave out the afc ring. But with the threaded version you'd see the threads.

I think the oring version was the "V4.1". The second Fogger I got has this. It doesn't work so well though, currently it's free spinning, probably the oring got too lubed up with juice.

The V4.0+ the one with threaded AFC - it's annoying me too much how loose it is. I basically have to set my preferred airflow every time because it moves. Has anyone had any luck putting an O-ring on? I'm trying to envisage where to situate an O-ring actually. Below the AFC ring would possibly jam. Inside the AFC ring also would jam. Maybe it wouldn't if the O-ring was slender enough.... Ideas?
