The Fogger V4 is harder to build and wick compared to a kayfun but it's nothing like a Genesis style. The current version of the Fogger doesn't hold very much compared to a kayfun. It is supposed to be replaced by a new version 'real soon' is supposed to go back to the smaller deck and larger capacity. I think it produces at least as good a flavor and way more vapor than my Kayfuns.

Just curious for anyone here who owns an Aqua as well... Other than the capacity & pyrex tank rather than stainless steel, what are the differences between the Aqua and the Fogger v4?

Edit: I love my Aqua, when I'm not dripping I'm either using it or my AGA-T2 depending on what I'm doing / where I'm going (Aqua all the way if I'm going to be pocketing my device :p) and been heavily considering picking up the Fogger... So I was just curious if anyone had anything to say one way or the other :D

My Aqua is sitting on the counter and the Fogger V4.3 is being vaped. I tried going back to the Aqua while ...... off at my Fogger...but it just wouldn't cut it any more.

AMDTrucking, as to DIY, it is VERY easy. I recommend using 60mg instead of 100mg due to easy math. If you want to mix 6mg liquid, just use 10% nicotine solution. 12mg use 20%. Also, order your nicotine base in PG, not VG. VG is much thicker and harder to measure. Take a 30ml bottle (or any size you desire), add the nicotine base to match your desired concentration, add flavoring of your choice, pour in PG until bottle is about half full and then squirt in the rest VG. Want more VG, add less PG. This does not have to be exact...close enough is good enough. Just record how much flavoring you use so you can repeat once you find a good recipe.

How do you build yours? I have a 4.3 tried about 4 times with cotton in the channels, either just right at the top, in the middle, almost all the way to the end of it and they never wick right.
Tried yesterday the way I build my Russian, wicks up, bottom cap in, and lightly place them on top of the channels with a tool and it seems to be working much much better so far, although I can definitely hear one of the wicks crackling much more as if the wick is a bit drier :/

I recommend using smaller coils thus forcing you to use less cotton / cc I cut my tails at an angle from the coil out so it's smaller at the ends and ends 3/4 or less the way down the channels. There are 100s of pics in this thread but thinning tails is key IMHO.

Yes, Aqua is better quality, made of better materials. BUT, very small capacity. Don't expect much more liquid capacity from Fogger V4,3 It is only 3.0 ml

I just looked at the pictures of the Big Fogger and it looks like I'm going to wick it your way (the Aqua way) due to its large vertical channels but the horizontal channels look very shallow.

The plastic insulator still lives, I'm pretty sure you folks would really like the D-eagle.
Nothing shallow about the horizontal channels here. My second one will arrive tomorrow, 4 days from acceptance from FT, might be a record.

No clear glass window, unprotected plastic part right under the coil... I'll pass.

Proportion wise the big Fogger looks a lot like the original V4 before the big deck change. What about the builds early in the thread where folks were building on the basic V4 model as a way to build?

Between a 26650 and like 10ml capacity you'll be good for a few days before changing anything with that setup ;)

Looks like my 20 ml Kayfun is going to be here before the Big Fogger will. That's the truckers ultimate dream.

So, I know this is a Fogger thread - and I love mine, fiddly as it is! The question of the day is should I get a Kayfun clone? I have a lonely Provari that has been pushed aside in favor if my Reos (which I love), and the Stingray clone keeps the Fogger busy. I'll wait for the new Fogger before getting another one, but is it worthwhile getting a Kayfun, as I've never had one?
