I know I already posted this... But just wanna say it again, thank you to everyone in this thread for all the positive reviews and wicking suggestions. I liked my Aqua, but this thing blows it out of the water. The airflow is amazing (ex-hookah smoker rather than cigs, so mouth-to-lung inhale isn't my thing... I need attys that can handle lung inhales) and the flavor/vapor is just perfect. Probably never woulda pulled the trigger with all the bad reviews out about v3 and prior if it wasn't for this thread, and all my other tank attys (including gennys which used to be my favorite) are now collecting dust. Things like this are the reason I use this forum :)

I've only had mine for 2 days but re-built and re-wicked it about a dozen times trying to get it right... Re-wicked a few times that gives me flawless results (habit to change out cotton every 2 tanks from other devices... Don't wanna get that gunked wick leading to nasty tasting vapor) but I'd be willing to give yours a shot assuming you're able to pay for shipping back (Either pre-paid packet included or paypal to cover shipping fees). Just figured I'd post this (PMing you as well) so there's solid proof if you're worried about something shady happening :p If you decide to go this route and I do get it working properly I'd have no problem making a vid and throwing it on youtube or something on how I did it so you can try to replicate it.

done sending it to you and of course will pay return shipping thanks buddy!!

Quick update fellas.

So you know how we've kinda been unofficially calling the various revisions 4.1 4.2 4.3

Well. Lol. Yiloong is gonna be calling the latest one 4.1, not 4.4.

Additionally, some pictures

Not much diff from outside:

Changes in deck

Under the hood:

Couple things to notice:
1) no more copper pin on the deck
2) smaller deck
3) they've fixed the awful fill hole in the 4.3. There's nth blocking it now, so refilling from the fill hole should be a piece of cake again

ETA: just noticed that the 2 posts are different height. Hmm.

Looks like the AFC is different too - perhaps it'll work better in the 'ultimate' version LOL Darn, those revision numbers are confusing!

Not too sure it's anything more than cosmetic change. Looks to me it still suffers from the same flaw where the ring covers half the hole when fully turned up. Grumbles.

Smth I'll be doing once I get back to the states: unscrew AFC ring As much as possible, use a sharpie to mark out the part of the ring that's covering the air hole, and use either a drill or a Dremel to cut a notch so that it exposes the hole fully. Don't see any reason why that wouldn't work. Hmmmmmm

Got an email from froinfog:

You have recently ordered the Fogger v4.2 atomizer from us. I'm writing
to inform you that we were confused by the information about an upcoming
Fogger revision which is actually a new 4.4 and not 4.2 version as it
was provided by the manufacturer.

The new revised version 4.4 is now in stock and can be shipped right
away. Please check the pictures, description and confirm your order.

Fogger v4.4 Atomizer / Dual Coil Tank RBA / Authentic Fogger v4.4 RBA

Kind regards,

Alex

Hell yeah, that looks like the best of both worlds! A friend just ordered one, so I'll post up when (if) it gets here.

...the V4.1 stamped on it is gonna really screw up how we've been identifying these things!

I guess you guys skipped right over these posts

I've done this exact thing to 2 different V4s (V4.2 and V4.3) and it makes no noticeable difference in air flow. And both of the AFC rings covered exactly half the hole before I notched them. The rings have a substantial champher on the I.D. which actually exposes more of the hole in the base than you realize.

Interesting, it looks to me like they decided to half the difference between the large deck and original version. If you go back to the original pics in the thread you can see the fill hole, drilled right at the edge of the deck, leaving a tiny thin sliver of threads. In fact I remember someone posting a pic of the sliver being a partial sliver and partial gap in the threading.

This new version still requires a step in the base for the fill hole but it doesn't have the ledge formed over it by the build deck.

Also I see something after the Fogger on the chimney, perhaps a circle R for registered trademark? Not clear enough to read.

Wonder what the capacity is going to be on this version?

Also, no copper positive up on the deck, but what about the bottom end? Did they go back to stainless for the center pin?

ETA: just noticed that the 2 posts are different height. Hmm.
Think the apparent difference in height is optical illusion because of the angle the picture is taken. If you look at the reflection of the positive block in the negative post, it appears halfway up the post which means they are about the same height.

Now that really isn't true. The large deck version worked just fine, even if it was a bit difficult to fill. The only real issue with it was the greatly reduced capacity in comparison to the original V4. Which they are now correcting with their latest release. Granted I'm not exceedingly happy about being a beta tester for the product but that's how pretty much all Chinese vaping products work. I'm happy that they're listening to feedback and trying to improve instead of just washing their hands and going that's all we're doing, too bad you don't like it.

Ok, I think I finally got a better build going.
Using a bigger coil was a great tip. I used a philipps-head that came with my KFL clone. No idea how big it is, but it's quite a bnit bigger than my drillbit i usually use for microcoils.
Got two 10wraps going now, reading at .8 Ohms and vaping happily at 30W with my Cana, even though i sometimes need to take some primer puffs (which should be a wicking problem, not coiling). So yeah, just need to get better with the Rayon and I'm all set :D
