What does cardamom taste like?

Cardamom is the spice that dominates Indian food (not curry really, curry often has cardamom). Hard to describe it..I don't like it though...it's maybe like a licorice-type with some other stuff...maybe kind of clove-ish. Like I said, I don't like it so it's been awhile since I've tasted it.

What does cardamom taste like?

They have a really unique flavor and I cant really think of anything to compare it to... maybe a sweet peppery nutmeg fennel with a hint of lemon zest?
If you've ever had chai tea, you can taste some cardamom in there.
