I think you know nicholas tesla developed the first "wireless power" a long time ago (if i spelled his name right) just like the coil someone posted here in this thread. I believed it worked up to a hundred miles it was big though and i dont know how efficient? but it was cool on the history channel the had a show all about it. You could light up a light buld in mid air turning it on from 100 miles away. that pretty neat to me.
